I love episode 1! What is the highest level you have gotten to in episode 1? For me, I have Shion and MOMO at lvl 62, while rest are at lvl 63. What's yours?

Setups for Shion: Shion is a beautiful young woman with smarts and looks. She's a great healer, but has the third lowest EP! She has great Tech attacks though. Let me tell you how I reccomend setting her up! First, What I did in my first playthrough is I boost her EP and MOMO's higher than chaos', as she might be spending a lot of EP on healing during boss battles. So if you want to, you should transfer MOMO's Life Shot, and chaos' Healing Dew to Shion. Then, she'll be an even better healer! Next, I buy her equipment that raises her vitality the most from shops. (Same with headgear.) Also, if you get the Angel ring from a segment address, be sure to have her equip it for Erde Kaiser. Even better, have every character extract the skill from it (If there is one because I haven't tried.) everyone should extract the skill, even Shion, and still equip it on her to make Erde Kaiser cost 15 EP. Every other Ether spell will be so stinkin' cheap that you'll barely ever have to use ether packs! Next, for skill setup, I would use EATK + 4 and EDEF + 4, to balance it with vitality.
For Tech attacks, I would recommend that you spend T.Pts in the T. attacks Gravity Well, Lunar Blade, and Rain Blade. That's because Gravity Well works well against Albedo, while Rain and Lunar Blades work well against Sophie Peithos. That about covers it for Shion's setup in Xenosaga Episode 1.
I think I'll make a KOS-MOS setup later. Comment on how well this method works, and add to the setup to improve help. Thanks for reading! Bye!

KOS-MOS setups: KOS-MOS is a humanoid robot that can generate The Hilbert Effect farther than anyone! Your beloved KOS-MOS can't do it without you being prepared though! So these are some setups that I would recommend. You should always find the best D Unit body armor or whatever it's called. They're usually buyable in shops, and there are six of them. So buy when you get the chance. Buy her any accessories you want to. Next, Once you get R. Dragon, and X. Buster tech attacks, spend her tech points mostly on those. She doesn't really need stat boosting. For ether, you don't have to transfer spells if you don't want to. For skills I would recommend you at least get her Search Eyes. You'll have enemy HP displayed without the Scope equipped, so be sure to get that. That's all for KOS-MOS. Bye!

Setups for chaos: I'd recommend doing some things the same as Shion's setups. Get the best vitality armor you can get for him, and headgear. You can put any accessory on you like otherwise. For ethers, You could transfer healing dew, protective wear, purifying storm, and best ally around if you like. Everyone will have great ether healing spells! For skills, I would recommend at least the skill from angel ring if there is one. If there is a skill from bravesoul, extract it and equip it on chaos, and anyone else. The last skill is up to you to decide! Choose wisely though! Those are setups for chaos. Hope it works well! Please leave a reply and tell me nicely how I did. I will probably do setups for Ziggy next. Bye!

Well, all you have to say for Ziggy is to equip the newest Volg unit, any other accessories, all ethers, and work on the tech attacks h— fire, and executioner once you get them. And have you played it? I would reccommend it to any RPG fan. It's a great game. Thanks for making the first reply to this discussion that wasn't from me!

It's called Xenosaga Discussions. And don't be all critical! If he was asking what it was, then how come he didn't notice the title when he clicked on this discussion? At the top messages, it says this what this discussion is about. Don't be criticizing people! I just needed it to be more specific.

Okay. So I made a mistake. Haven't you been taught not to criticize people for their mistakes? Because I'm seriously getting hurt.

Okay people, in the future to avoid arguments like up above that ends up hurting my or anyone's feelings, anyone who doesn't know what Xenosaga is, please research it. And if you want to ask me about it, please be more specific. Anyway, for MOMO's setup , get the best magic rod you can, and level up Angel Arrow once you get that tech attack. Also, You should equip her with Vitality armor or Neo Armor Beta (Because I think females can't equip Alpha. But Techtron sets are fine too.) If you feel you have to raise her stats, raise HP, EP, and EATK for reasons that are similar or obvious to above setups.

My last setup is for Jr. He's a powerful character in episode 1 and here's why: 1. Jr. Is the only character that learns a tech attack from an accessory.
2. If you equip him with the Bravesoul, Double Buster, and Commander's Crest, Then you could possibly kill all enemies in one turn.
Anyway, that's what I equip him with. The bravesoul raises strength as hp decreases, the double buster allows you to use tech attacks twice in the same turn as long as you have an attack set to high and low speed. (Hi and lo slots.) As long as you have six ap. The commander's crest adds one ap to your ap each turn. ( on your second turn you have six ap.) For skills extract from what he has equipped. For ethers, just get all of em' Don't forget to use the tech attack soul rhapsody occasionally. You learn that and the ether magnum joe from beating the optional boss great joe. Apparently every five gnosis enemies you defeat with soul rhapsody makes magnum joe and buster joe which is evolved from magnum joe stronger. Those. Are all my setups. I'll add a little here. You can transfer Medica All and Medica Rest, ether limit, and speed boost around for ethers. Also for Shion I would suggest working on spell ray as gravity well works well on albedo ( not Simeon ) and spell ray works well on Sophie peithos. Anyway, that's all. I'm done with setups for now. Please feel free to reply, add setups, or tell about your own experiences as long as it has to do with the Xeno series. ( gears, blade, and saga.) I have played xenoblade, and the first two xenosagas. Later I'll post about ultimate weapons. See ya!

Okay everyone, this post will be about ultimate weapons for xenosaga episode 1. Shion's ultimate weapon is the ammo bsx005v. It isn't really one because each one of shion's Ammos don't have different stats and only different effects for the tech attack shock blade, and can be bought only a little more than halfway through the game. For kos-mos, the f.rshot is a good weapon because it has the highest strength in one of kosmos's weapons. Although the fscyythe has lower strength, it can attack all enemies for pretty decent damage. Most of kosmos's weapons are received through emails. For chaos, this should be easy enough to understand. What you must have done to do this is you must have beaten the optional boss mintia. And you must have momo in the party. Without beating mintia, you can't get the tech attack dark scepter. When using dark scepter on a gnosis with low hp, use dark scepter to do damage, defeat it and turn it into an item. You need dark scepter to do this. First, in the final dungeon proto merkabah, you have to run into a gnosis called a delphyne. Then you should get its hp low, and use dark scepter to defeat it. It will turn into the holey gloves which is actually spelled that way in the game. For ziggy, you can buy the msspx40 or whatever it's called at the dock colony shop before the cathedral ship events. That's kind of early in the game, but later you get an ammo that makes it stronger which I can't remember the name of from a treasure chest in the durandal armory. For Momo, you go to floor 44 of proto merkabah, and there will be a walled off area. Blow up the glass, and there is a monster waiting there. You can fight it if desired or not. Anyway that was just a warning, go to the back of the area and there will be a destroyable object, or a chest, I can't remember, and inside is momos ultimate weapon the dragon rod. For jr, on the left side of floor 43 of proto merkabah, there is segment address 17. Don't forget to get decoder 17 from the song of nephilim, I don't remember where it is there so look it up for right now. In segment address 17, the ultimate gun the blood9 is inside the treasure chest. If equipped, the ammo bd900 also comes equipped with it. That is all for now. Please reply, and tell if these posts are helpful to you. Hope to hear some nice things from you guys! Bye!!!
