Both galleries and studios

Most of you know about the new name for galleries, studios. The thing is, there are a lot of people who use studios for their collabs, but the majority are galleries. So I thought about this, and I thought why not allow a different interface between galleries and studios? Here's how I think it should work:

In the new menu, it gives you the option to create a gallery along with the option to make a studio. You can click on one depending on which you are using. The gallery and studio have different tools. First of all, galleries should be just, well, how galleries work. They have the comments, projects, curators, and activity tabs. However, the studio has a new way to play.

In a studio, the projects tab is changed to snapshots. This is the folder for all the snapshots of the game they are working, so they can piece the project together. Also, the curator tab is replaced with staff. This is the tab for the ones working on the project. They can only add their own projects or projects made by other staff. In the staff tab, everyone is shown in a column, and to the right of everyone, the owner can assign their position, for example, programmer, artist, etc. One more thing: The comments tab is changed to discussion. No drastic changes need to be made here.

A staff member of the studio can add their snapshots to it. If they check a studio, a menu pops up, and it asks if they want to hide it in their own shared projects. This could be really helpful. It avoids lots of spam popping up in that user's menu, which are a bunch of projects that are basically the same thing, just slightly evolved. This could also prevent lots of people from creating new accounts just to hold all those snapshots. When the final project is done, they can add it to the studio and allow that project to show in their projects. Everyone who is staff of a studio gets a tag in their page. It pops up in a relevant spot, telling people they are a staff member of that studio. That way, people can click on the link to see their hidden projects. Invitations to be staff work the same way. The owner can't just add random people to the studio.

What do you think of this idea? Do you think we should add back galleries or just stick with studios for now?

Well, I love the idea, but the ST will never approve of it because it is not friendly and not 100% instant-understandable to New Scratchers.

A simplification would to have no snapshots, but just to have projects everyone in the studio can modify (which would be simpler), and the discussion tab would just be comments (again, simpler). As well, I am guessing that it would be beneficial to hide studios from New Scratchers until they become Scratchers (to both reduce spam, and reduce confusion (because they will know more once they become a Scratcher)).

Just some ideas so that the ST approves of it. But I love your ideas too.

Well maybe just have a checkbox to hide studios on a new Scratcher's profile, so they can uncheck if they want to join a collab, etc.

@FireNinjaGAME What there could be is an option to make a new gallery, and from there they have the option to make it a gallery or a studio, with a description explaining what they are. That way new scratchers can tell the difference.
