It would be good to have a better search algorithm, yes.any of griffpatch's projects by name, and the actual project won't be the first result. This takes away credit from original project creators.Support! The google search is so bad. My #1 complaint is that it shows a lot of spam remixes before the real project they're based on. For example, try searching for virtually

So many times, I want to find a project that is fairly recent or new so I can give feedback on it. All I usually get are projects made 4 years ago (2011 still feels fairly recent, though) I never comment on project of two years ago (unless recent activity by user) So… Support * 100000000000000!!!

Cough..Here..coughBut you can't use color tags correctlyIKR. Why can't they just go back to the old search? It was supposed to be temporary, because there was this hour of code thing and there were going to be a lot of server requests, blah blah blah… a year has gone by now and it still hasn't changed back. Yeah they need to get off their butts already. The old search was an invaluble tool when looking for tutorials, engines, and other example projects. Now when i search “____ Engine” I get a bunch of unfinished/remix projects that are usually completely useless.
When's the last time the ST actually did something worthwhile? There are tons of new features I'd love to see on the site, which have no reasons not to be implemented, but they never do anything. Once I heard they had a huge meeting about adding the “any” option to the key pressed blocks… it doesn't seem to have happened yet.
They'll never remove it. They'll probably just ignore this topic, saying “oh noe we cant do dat wer 2 lazey it isn't supre urgnt su were just going to ignor it!!!111!!!!1!!!”

Of course, Scratch does have like sixteen times the amount of users it had when the search was removed, so it might be quite a bit of load on the Scratch servers…

If I remember correctly, about a year ago, we had about 300,000 users. Now we have about 6,000,000. So we have about 20x as many users. Sixteen times? It's been like, one year.

It can't have been that few, can it? The majority of people I know have accounts of 2 years or more.

According to the stats page, ( https://scratch.mit.edu/statistics/ ) we've gone from 95,000 active users to 150,000 active users.
An impressive increase, but nowhere close to 16x, or even double.

Dude - that's not cool. We're a small team working on free software. There's a lot we're trying to do with very limited resources. We welcome your suggestions - but we have to balance them against what we can realistically do.IKR. Why can't they just go back to the old search? Wow Paddle2See actually said that Dude - that's not cool.

And yeah, that's basically what I said
Not to mention extension stuff as well, which seems to be making (slow) progress You should note that the ST is already pretty busy with moderating the site and fixing things they consider more important.

Yeah, the ST aren't superheroes - they're a small group of people working off donations.
