When I click the green flag if I click any keys it won't activate something in the project instead it will just make an outline to the green flag, and to fix this you have to click somewhere to un-select the green flag which is really annoying when you just want to go right back into a game which requires green flag to respawn so you try to move, but you can't because it has the green flag selected so you have to click somewhere else to un-select it.

This seems to be an issue that's occurring for multiple people recently.

hope this gets fixed, it also happens with sliders but that was already there before
for now i will add a “click to focus” thing to my WIP games

I like the variable thing doing that but it's annoying when then green flag, the stop sign, and EVEN THE EXTENSION BUTTON, select by touching them.

I've been experiencing this issue too. It's very annoying when I have to restart a project often.

just make it so that when a key is pressed it unfocuses it
also theres a similar bug with sliders in the costume tab where it just bugs sometimes and selects the whole page

The sliders is useful, if that didn't exist then we couldn't precisely modify the variable, Have you tried changing a variable slider ranging from -100 to 100?

Confirmed with green flag, stop sign, switch to small stage, and switch to large stage buttons.

Key presses are not detected by a project after any of the buttons are clicked.

Instead an outline of dark blue appears around the stop sign or green flag, or the fill of the stage size button gets darker.

Scratch NEEDS to fix this glitch.

Yep, also happens when you select a sprite in the sprite selector area. And when clicking the show and hide buttons.

It doesn't happen after deleting or restoring a sprite. Or selecting the stage after a sprite. But does happen when selecting a sprite after the stage.

It's behavior that makes sense when you click something and need to continue focus on it (slider, text input, etc.). But the behavior doesn't make sense for buttons you click and the action is (should be) done when the click is done.

Summary of bug: No further input is needed on an element in the editor/player, but focus is still on it.

These are the only scenarios I like this glitch in: slider so I can change it precisely, or sprites so I can move it precisely.
