I've heard from some younger fellows that their district is now checking all their bookmarks.

I'm here to say bye-bye to their proxy sites :S

They definitely are. Whenever any website gets bookmarked and is supposed to be blocked, it gets blocked in less than 24 hours. It's kinda crazy how fast they are. That's why I've stopped bookmarking sites at all. Either I leave them open or just remember them. No google docs either, too risky imo.

The only way to safely store anything from school IT is to use a third-party password manager and DON'T save the master password. Most third-party password managers store more than passwords. If you can remember your master password without saving it, you've outsmarted them. (Unless they block all the password managers too…)

When I bookmarked sites, they never got blocked until WEEKS later… seems like a new thing they're doing but I digress

I have school chromebook. They have blocked Scratch and pretty much every coding website in existence. I found a workaround to get to blocked sites using the school-managed “guest mode”, but they finally patched that too.

I would much rather have a windows or mac or pretty much anything else.

Does your school not have some sort of like computer class or something where you'd actually use Scratch?
