Unfortunately nobody steps forward as a manager of the Japanese Wiki and we cannot decide our policy at this time.
Some guys propose to have a meeting at Scratch Day Tokyo on May 9.
We hope we will make decision at there. I am sorry this indecisive answer.

The Japanese Forum is the most active international Forum and we have been so happy, that you asked to run a japanese Scratch-Wiki with so many start-members. Specialy if there are so few english speaking Scratchers in Japan a Japanese Scratch Wiki would even be more important. We can't belive that all our efforts are based on a misunderstanding….We're shure that you will make a start with your wiki. Perhaps you find other japanese Scratchers, that did not folow this discussion to make a start? We promise to help you as good as we can.Good luck with your Scratch Day in Tokyo…we will have also a Scratch Day in Germany at the same time: Perhaps we could have a Skype-Meeting or G+ Meeting in english language? What do you think?

Hello. Thank you for helping us a lot for making wiki. Also, sorry for asking help before deciding manager.
As @abee said, we haven't decided the manager for the wiki. We are thinking several ways to talk at other places, including Scratch Day or Skype.
I'm looking forward to talk each other on Scratch Day but what are we going to do for 7 hours time-difference?
Also, April is a start of new school year for Japan and kids are busy thesedays. So, we can't have active discusstion.
Again, thank you for helping us.

You're welcome In Germany we mostly have no school at Saturday and so many authors of the DACH-Scratch-Wiki- will come together at ScratchDay in Bochum from different parts of Germany, starting Friday 8.May late afternoon until Saturday 9.May afternoon. So there should be some hous in between where the time difference is acceptable e.g. 9:00 (in Germany) +7hours= 16:00 (in Japan). At which time of the day your ScratchDay will take place?

In our Scratch-Community we have a so called “ScratchClub” (http://scratch-dach.info/wiki/SC ) where we meet online every week at Wednesday 20:00 by voicechat using Skype or G+. We already managed it to invite the founder of the russian wiki…but 20.00 would really be a problem….3:00am in Japan…

Hi everyone, we, the DACH-Scratch-Wiki-Team (http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/DACH-Scratch_Wiki) , are really interested on the results of your Scratch Day in Tokyo. We hope it was a big success! We saw that they had a photo of it at “Scratch Video Update” (https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/Pfk1T7EzPHs/). Great! Is there a chance to start your own Japanese Scratch-Wiki? Anybody of you can make a start by logging in with this account:

Feel free to contact us for help!
We are looking every Wednesday, when we virtually meet in our G+ based Scratch-Club, if you already started the Japanese Scratch Wiki ;-)
Good Luck an Scratch On!

Sorry, since Scratch Day had a lot of events, we could not talk each other. A lot of people had job, work to do. Though we passed the busy time so I think we can be more active soon.

I made a small article of Scratch!
Also, I want to make guide to use it for people who can't read English but how can I edit special pages like top page?

Great! I found your article at http://jp.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch. It's still very short, but we are happy that you made a start!

shuprogram wrote:

Great! Perhaps you can get admin? I know you are still very young, but Joren Lauwers (JSO), the first main admin of the English Scratch-Wiki was also only about 14 when he started with the wiki (11 when starting with Scratch). When about 18, he left his home-country Belgium to study at MIT. Shortly before that, we had Joeren as guest at Scratch Day 2013 in Germany, see here (sorry it's a German article, perhaps google translate helps): http://scratch-dach.info/wiki/Bericht_vom_Scratch_Day_2013_in_Bochum_/_Hattingen#Joren_Lauwers.

Here you have answers to your questions and tips & hints to make a start:

1.
“startuser” is only an open wiki-account we just set up, because nobody asked for his own account at http://jp.scratch-wiki.info. We can't give too much rights to this account, but we can give you your own account with more rights. Until now we don't have that “automatic account system” like the English scratch-wiki has, so you have to write a mail to get your password. Since there is no mail-account for the jp-wiki until now, feel free to write to my eMail-Address mtwoll(at)gmail(dot)com. We will try to set up the automatic-account system on the international wikis asap.

2.
you need to translate the scratch-wiki-skin to Japanese, to have the wiki fully in your language. Our admin akhof did set up the German skin to make a start, but please try to translate the English skin you find at https://github.com/LLK/scratchwikiskin an send us the files by mail. We than will set up your Japaneses wiki-skin. If you're logged in, you can change your skin, user-language and other things at http://jp.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Special:Preferences (for so called “Special Pages” you can always use the English and the Japanese Page-URL alternatively.)

3.
I found you at the English scratch-wiki ( http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/User:Shuprogram ), but you did not much edits there until now (http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/w/index.php?title=Special%3AContributions&tagfilter=&contribs=user&target=Shuprogram ). It's good to have an account there if you want to get more involved, because this is the scratch-wiki where it all began and were most scratch-wiki-authors are. Our most active authors have accounts there too. Some of the international scratchers have accounts in different scratch-wikis, so they are Interwiki-Authors. see:
http://scratch-dach.info/wiki/Scratch-Wiki:Team_Mitglieder#Interwiki_Autoren

If you want to have an Interwiki-Account at http://scratch-dach.info/ please tell us in your mail.

4.
To learn more about the Wiki-Software that is used in all Scratch-Wikis, Wikipedia and many other Wikis, go to http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki/ja . There seems to be lots of information in Japanese language. You can surly contact Japanese People, that know much about Wikimedia, to help you getting “inside” your on scratch-wiki-project in Japanese language.

5.
Perhaps you or other members of the Japanese Scratch-Community consider to get Wikipedia-Authors too? We have some German authors that are both and we are caring for the German Wikipedia Entry on Scratch here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scratch_%28Programmiersprache%29. Perhaps you are interested to care for the Japanese Entry here: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scratch_(%E3%83%97%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B0%E3%83%A9%E3%83%9F%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0%E8%A8%80%E8%AA%9E) …oh sorry, I don't know how to copy&paste Japaneses-letters…if the link doesn't work, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scratch_(programming_language) and jump to Japanese-version from there.
