150+ Vector Emojis made Entirely in Scratch!
I'VE UPDATED MY NEW PROJECT THAT CONTAINS OVER 150+ EMOJIS! ☺️
(It might not sound like a lot, but it was a lot of work!)
Project Link
I've updated my project that has over 150 emojis, all made by me, entirely in Scratch's editor!
Most people think of Scratch as a coding platform, but it's a great place to share art, music, and just have fun!
So, I decided I would create a project with custom emojis – not only did I customize it, but you may remix the project and customize them yourself! You can use them for text rendering, cover art, designs – you name it!
All of the parts to every single emoji are editable – you can change the location, size, fill color, scale of any part of an emoji! Though you might have to change the width of the outlines of shapes – they don't scale to size.
WHY IS THIS SUCH A GOOD IDEA?
WHY ARE LOTS OF EMOJIS MISSING?
There are SO many emojis on official platforms (3,664 as of October 2023), my puny number of 161 emojis (at time of this post) is no match! I can't possibly create that much, as real emoji designers have teams of people (as I work solo), have better programs and software to create the emoji, and it's their actual job., not their hobby. (Though that would be a pretty cool job…)
Even if I did have the time, patience, and skill, Scratch can't handle 3,664 costumes!
I'll try to work on as many emojis as I possibly can, but note:
I will not be adding people emojis. There's too many people (or human) emojis, and I want to include all skin colors, but that alone would take up hundreds and hundreds of costumes! So, I'm afraid I'm skipping this.
I might not be adding all of the object emojis. I will add some in the future, but there's too many!
Hand gesture emojis are questionable. I don't really feel good at designing hand gestures just yet, but I may add some here and there. I've already added a thumbs up and thumbs down gesture emoji, though.
Symbols, flags, and nature will not be complete. There's a lot of flags and symbols. I can't possibly add them all! I will add the 100 one, the Dashing Away emoji, and the explosion emoji. I'll also add some weather ones and common animals, and maybe dawn/dusk emojis.
However, you can create your own emojis and add to the repository! Remix the project and add emojis of your own!
Looking at the above limitations, let me know if there's an emoji I'm missing, you think I designed wrong, or you want to suggest! I will not accept any rude or offensive emojis (like that one hand gesture you're thinking of. That's violating the Scratch Terms of Service!)
Also, please don't comment inappropriate emoji combos or use them in a context so that you mean it was inappropriate. For example, take the peach emoji.
I meant to include this emoji as a food, and strictly a food.
I will report and immediately remove ANY projects or comments that directly suggest any offensive, racist, or otherwise harmful meaning.
Disclaimer aside, do whatever you want with these emoji designs, and be creative with them! Please don't remix the projects and not change anything!
Anyways, I just wanted to share this project for anyone who's looking for great emojis to include in their projects!
In the project's instructions, there's a list of supported emoji, or you can search for one inside of the project when you run it.
Emojis are in one sprite called "Emojis".
Scratch Moderators, move this post or notify me if this topic is in the wrong place or I if need to edit something.

- Using emojis in Scratch's built-in text boxes don't make them very editable. In fact, depending on what device you have, emojis may appear differently than you intended! Since this is a vector image, you can edit anything you want, and it will appear exactly the same on all devices!
Clean looking emojis will enhance any project! They were inspired by JoyPixels and Apple, but this time they're completely editable and customizable!
You can right click on an emoji's costume and click “Export” to export it as an SVG file. Then, you can use it in your other favorite programs that support SVG files!
Style up your emojis anyway you want. Tweak them to your heart's desire!
You can copy and paste each element, so create your own emojis! Make one that doesn't exist! Put a happy face on a grape, or make an angry one with its face in the clouds. Do whatever you want!
