AGREE. This is horrible. Creativity should have no limits. Many great creators cant share their projects because of this limit. #increasejsonsize

on the forums, instead of just saying “support” to a topic you are meant to give a reason why you support as well. simply linking to another person's reason does not count.

That's literally not even the same poster as the person who said “Agree”

The quote
Agreed, It would make technical projects and 3D less limited if intended to be compatible with normal scratch.
is not the same thing as
I agree.

I found something sort of bad: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/343602/?page=15 , it seems like the only reason why it was removed was because of lack of suggestion, not because it was “unrejected”

Just to be sure I'm not missing anything, what are you referring to here? I don't see Za-Chary mentioning anything about the json limit in this thread you linked, just the general size limit of 50mb for a scratch project back in the Scratch 2.0 days and that being lifted since 3.0. (Which unfortunately, came with the change that the json has a 5mb limit now.)

@wingrabbelgriebus
the creator of turbowarp has no control of what gets added to scratch

Bump! I think this topic is pretty important, people could do a lot more on scratch if the limit was increased!

Support! Would make textures easier to upload to Scratch, and games could be bigger and more fun, not to mention more realistic (bigger texture files).

It would help to make projects bigger, but not for textures. The 5mb limit isn't for assets (like images/music) but for code. So textures would be the same.

I think he is talking about textures for 3D projects which are stored in lists. But I don't think this is a problem as creating image scanners and storing lists in separate projects for users to export/import might be solutions.

Yes, I am talking about 3D textures. Lists are ideal, if there wasn't a project limit. Images are what I have to use for bigger projects. It would be very convenient to be able to use lists.
