Scratchin Weekly Reboot: Dependable Scratch News, Stories and All Sorts!

Welcome to Scratchin Weekly, a Scratch newspaper! This collab was orignally founded by chocolatepenguin and cheeseeater, who have since retired. We are starting fresh, so to make things simpler, just re-apply (unless you are currently on the member's list).
Ground Rules
First off, I'm invoking a 3 strike policy. Strikes will only be administered by jkl0l and myself. jkl0l and I will give strikes to those who break the rules that will be set below. First rule breaking, a warning. Second, a strike. Due to the circumstances, though, either of us may decide to give you a strike on the spot or immediately suspend you from the collab.
First three strikes: Collab suspention for a week.
Second three strikes: Two weeks.
Third: One month.
Fourth: You will be released from the collaboration.
Rules:
1. Be courteous at all times.
2. Get your work done on time. If you are by any means unable to complete your work (other commitments, real life things, etc.), report it to us and we will understand.
3. By no means will we have any unnecessary arguments. Remember: There's a difference between discussions and arguments. Discussions are considered apposing views being debated in a polite matter, whereas arguments are when Scratchers are fighting.
4. No spam.
5. Hassling others for any reason is not tolerated.
Everyone understand? Alright, adhere to these, and we'll be a smooth-running collab.

Game Reviews
As far as I know, it's okay for anybody to do a game review. This week's review will be done by StarscreamClone (subject to change)
WASDgamer made our first game review and had an epic layout for it. Because of that, I'll have that set as a standard for all gaming reviews!

Introduction: Tell us a bit about the game
Facts and Opinions
Gameplay: How does the game work?
My thoughts: Give your opinion of the game, as well as any constructive critisim.
Interview With Creator (creator name here)
5 questions: Make sure these questions pertain to how the game works, scripting, or inspiration. If you cannot come up with anything, here are te 5 WASDgamer came up with:
Question 1
What inspired you to make this game and why?
Question 2
What version of Scratch did you use to make it and what are your reasons for doing so?
Question 3
How did you name your game; was it random or relevant?
Question 4
How do you think you can improve it and will you ever have time to do so?
Question 5
Was it inspirational work based off another Scratcher or game?
Player Thoughts: This is where you will get input from other Scratchers. This could be comments from the project.
Overall: (rating out of 10)
Graphics: (rating out of 10)
Gameplay: (rating out of 10)

My article
A lot of huge updates coming in
The Scratch Team has had a lot of huge updates recently. With SDS, and fonts, it's bound to get bigger.
A lot of people have been using the new fonts. And from the looks of it, the most popular out of the current 5 is Marker. The cloud vote “Cloud Font Voting” has proof since Marker currently has over 430 votes, while Scratch Font (the second most popular vote) has 201. Here's another article mentioning the same project: (the part is in red)

Cloud data is getting a bit too popular
Scratch 2.0 has introduced cloud variables. Many people on Scratch, probably over a million people have made lots of cloud votes. One even got featured!
Now, everyone is begging for cloud lists. Just about everyone (by now) should know these words right here: They are coming soon. But the second they do come out, Scratch will (and this is a bit of a joke) overflow with a million more projects. But cloud list engines are on their way. The best so far is probably relrel's, but that's based on everyone's opinions. The Scratch Team is probably working on a lot of things, but so far any reports of cloud data are not very recent. All the Scratch Team has said is cloud lists are coming soon. What everyone should know by now. (as mentioned earlier) Plus, cloud variables have no recent updates, as none are at least noticed yet. Because of cloud data, the millions of users joined, and some other things, Scratch has become more popular than ever.

Wondering why the vote itself got so popular?
There you go.

Hey, looks like you got it all organized really fast, I'm impressed!
I would like to make a suggestion, just so that everyone knows exactly what they are supposed to be doing, could there be a “Jobs” section on the original post showing the people in the collab, and the current task(s) they have to do before the next issue?
And um, I guess I will come on back in. I am very impressed with how fast you got it all re-organized. Can I be an artist again?

Okay, so how about an issue every other week? This way, we have more time for articles and such and nothing has to be rushed.

Well, that would require a change in the name… If any jobs that need doing haven't been finished I could do them if you want lol.
Anyways, I just looked at the first issue, and um, I have some feedback. =3 (get ready to be amazed at my incredible criticising skillz)
First of all, the graphics really need some work. I would be happy to draw some backgrounds for it if you want.
Second, I think that having the project start on something that looked like the front page of a newspaper, and have buttons on there that would take you to different articles, but other then that just uses like arrow keys to flip the pages, what do you think? I will make a project as an example.
Also, am I eligible to apply for deputy?

Okay, so a no on every other week. If you could design the buttons and layout, that would be great. Go ahead and apply for deputy. I think you'd make a great one.

Okay, here is my application for deputy =3 so um, serious mode: Activated
I believe that I would be a good choice for deputy mainly because I have months of experience in very active scratch collaborations, including a few newspapers. One of the newspapers I was a part of got very popular. Almost every issue was on the front page in what the community is viewing or loving. I know some of the ways that it got so popular, and I know how to effectively advertise. When I was in that newspaper I was in many roles. I was an artist, a reporter, an advertiser and an editor. I always got my work in by the deadline, due to piles of spare time. I am also experienced in running, organizing and fixing collaborations. I have ran 2 collaborations in the past, been a co-owner of 3, and got 2 others back on their feet after massive arguments and such. Because I was in all those positions (not all at the same time though) I know how to put together a project with stuff given to me from many different people, and other things that any collaboration owner needs to know how to do. Please consider my application, and also, I would like to know what the duties of a deputy are. Thanks for reading.

Oh, I have an idea for the newspaper. For each section in the newspaper, what about there being different music? Like, the music that was used for the last one, would it really go well with a spooky story, or a long review for a project about world peace? What there is now would be fine for reports on things like level-up games or jokes, but will it really go well with everything else?
Anyway, that's just an idea for ya'll to think about.

Okay. I made that using paint.net. If you want I could put all the articles into that format for the next issue and then give you all the frames, also, I was thinking that my comic strips would go in the different articles, at the bottom.Herp a derp!Ooh, I like it, as well as your application!Okay, if you can put a blank version of that in a project with the logo included, that would be great!
