GREETINGS! Firstly, this is the planning forum for SWC’s Dystopian cabin (March ‘26). If you aren’t part of the (co-)leading team, we’d appreciate if you wouldn’t read any further, because this thread will a) have SO MANY spoilers for Clair Obscur, and b) contain information for our cabin plans, which we’d like to keep a surprise!

If you’ve stumbled upon here because you’ve been summoned by my Clair Obscur reference, message me!! I need to ramble with people. If you’re here and have no idea what it is, it’s a dark fantasy/dystopian indie video game by Sandfall Interactive, and you should 100% go play it.


















































Assuming if you’re here now, you’re either Silvi or Skylar, so welcome to the place where the cabin planning shenanigans will happen!

Okay, so some quick things first! Obviously it’s kind of hard to plan a cabin about a fandom you don’t know much about. Since I don’t have time to force you all to play the game + definitely not going to make you all pay for it, haha, I’d really recommend watching the cutscenes. Here are two places you can do so:

First Compilation
—> This one is 4.25 hours long and contains all the main storyline cutscenes, plus a couple of boss fights. You can probably fast forward through the fighting for the most part, because the player is really, really bad at it. There is some good dialogue, though! When you get to the end, you can watch the other ending possibility here (start from 4:57 if you want, because the part before then is effectively the same as in the other one)
—> A note that this one DOES NOT have any of the non-cutscene dialogue.

Second Compilation
—> This one is, uh. Significantly longer. Run time of about seven hours. It contains all the dialogue, though! I haven’t watched through this version in its entirety yet, but I’ve seen the first hour or so. If I remember correctly, the person clicks through the dialogue a little slowly. When you’re done with this, watch the same other ending that I’ve linked above!
—> This person fights better, but you also can mostly skip through that if you want to save time

So the non-cutscene dialogue is not strictly necessary, but it does give you a better sense for some of the foreshadowing and help you to understand what’s going on + the characters, their backstories, and it just makes it a little more cohesive in general! But you will probably be fine without it.

If you all are really busy and don’t have time to watch either of these, then I can give you a rundown on all the stuff in a…very long summary in text, but you might have to give me a few days to put it together + I also may miss a couple of things or get the order wrong. Probably not the end of the world, as you don’t need to know everything for this.

Alright, I believe the both of you are also in GMT, so a couple of time zone conversions for you!

SGT (Snowy) is eight hours ahead of GMT. I cannot remember if the UK does daylight savings and stuff, but here’s the conversion for now.

00:00 GMT — 08:00 SGT
00:00 SGT — 16:00 GMT

I will be on and off between 23:00 GMT and 14:00 GMT on most days.

Also: I suggested in my app that we do icebreakers or whatever as a leading team because I sometimes don’t feel like I’ve gotten to know my team as well as I’d have liked to—would you all like to do this, or not really?

And, finally, schedule for the rest of the week!

Wednesday (today): School, going for dinner with my grandparents and dad
Thursday: School, robotics
Friday: School (might end early), leaving to lead a camp at 11:30 GMT
Saturday: Leading camp, very little activity
Sunday: Camp ends around 05:00 GMT, and then activity as normal!

Schedule for the week:
Usually I’m on and off between 07:00 and 21:30 UTC!

Wednesday: Home from school probably about 16:00, youth at 19:00 to 21:45
Thursday: Home from school at about 18:00
Friday: Home from school by about 16:30
Saturday: Skating lesson at 08:30 and home from that by 10:00
Sunday: Church at 10:00, home from church at 14:00 at the very latest (usually I spend time talking to friends ahaha ^^)

Aaaaand inactivity dates:
30/01 - 01/02: MUN Conference!! Will be helping with setup and organising and I will likely not respond that much ahaha ^^
February sometime: Concert - though this one is small hehe
07/03: Concert not in the city where I live!! I will be gone for most of the day!
19/03: Violin exam!! May not be that active in the days leading up to said exam but hey~
21/03: Uni offer holder day
28/03: Uni offer holder day, we might go bug some friends as well and stay the night in the city we’re visiting ^^
March sometime: yet another concert!! This is a school one though ahhaa

Aaaa also forgot to add but I would absolutely love to do icebreakers! Even though I’ve worked with both of you before, I would love to get to know you guys better ^^

Inactivity dates because I forgot about this earlier (thank you, Skylar, for reminding me):
January 23rd to 25th: Leading camp in real life (we have CABINS, guys. It's like SWC but we're actually touching grass). Activity only majorly affected on 24th
February 6th to 12th: Traveling to Nepal! Probably not too much activity but not sure about the details for phone usage + internet + all that stuff.
March 23rd to 27th: Traveling to Vietnam! I'm on break for this, so I might actually be more active? Will be on mobile, though

Screee I also forgot to mention I have mocks in late February/early March which I’ll be spending a lot of time studying for ahaha ^^ I’ll probably be more active than usual and on throughout the day but it’s a lot of exams- (even though I only have one a day for eight of the ten days that mocks are on eeep) I’ll probably still be at school during my usual school time, but if I go offline and don’t respond for two and a half hours, I’m probably sitting an exam or revising really hard for it!

Schedule:
31st Jan, 1st Feb - all day music rehearhal + concert, will be inactive most of the two days
17th Feb till the 21st - on holiday in the Lake District!!
other than that, i don't think there's anything too major! every monday and thursday i have a club after school for an hour and i'll obviously be inactive while i'm at school until around 4:30, so i'll be contributing mostly in GMT evenings which will be after midday for you (Snowy) - probably mid-afternoon?

i just started watching the first comilation and it's so good :00 it's nice to have something new to watch while i'm crocheting lol

More Urgent Stuff

i think we need to have our cabin atmosphere ready by the end of the month (and our symbol maybe??) - do you guys know of anything else urgent to get done?

Yep, definitely!! For cabin atmosphere, how competitive are we all thinking for a cabin? I lean somewhere between relaxed and semi-competitive, but open to thoughts from you all

I’ll compile all our cabin atmosphere things from our apps when I’m not on my phone, and then we can probably go from there?

For the symbol, here are some random thoughts:
-Something to do with painting
-Something to do with day/night or light/dark
-Something else that embodies dystopian genres?

If we can, I think it’d be nice to at least have a placement thumbnail when camper signups come out and also a title for our cabin? It could probably also be simple, like “Expedition (number) • Dystopian March ‘26” I know the game follows Expedition 33, but probably following a different one would help us to branch out from the game and give us a little more creative freedom.

Cabin Relationships
Do you all have any thoughts for cabin relationships? Last session, I just waited for other people to reach out, but we ended up with very few relationships, so I’m thinking it might be nice to reach out for a few. Especially if we want to have sibling cabins.

Ooh, okay, so I’ll start with two truths and a lie or something? I genuinely don’t know; I’m so awkward

Yeah, it does seem like we all focused on a more relaxed sort of cabin!! Maybe we should just a mix of all of these and see how it turns out - maybe adding some of the storyline into as well would be good, because as a camper, i liked to know what sort of storyline there was when choosing cabins <3

Maybe being siblings with Adventure would be nice? Other than that, I don't really have much of a preference <3

Also, Snowy - I seem to remember that you can’t collaborate with other people due to your accounts being doxxing? If that’s still the case, is there any particular way you’d like to approach design? Maybe we could decide on some fonts and a colour palette together and use that for design?

Should we still create a shared Canva? because me and Skylar can collaborate freely, and if you can pop on once on a while, hopefully you can paste the graphics and colours and fonts into your private canva so that all of our design is matching!

I was wondering what sort of projects we were planning to do? i think a cabin guide is always a good things to do and persona creation projects are also fun! Are we going to do matching profile pictures? There is no way I could do them as my art skills are very limited, and I don't want to force anyone to do anything so obviously it's complete up to you guys <3

Those all sound good to me ^^ I'd love to do matching profile pictures again unless you'd like to do them Snowy, but they'd have to be on the simpler side since I found that apparently revision tends to eat up a huge amount of my time and so I'm not going to be able to make 20 or so profile pictures on procreate in the time I have ahaha :') I was thinking that we could probably stick to something simpler though? I think a silohette style would be cool :0

I also agree with Silvi that a cabin guide would be nice - and also since people probably don't know what Clair Obscur is it would be a good way to explain the storyline!

I'm fine with things either way ^^ we could probably propose a list of fonts and I could screenshot how they look and we could decide on some together? Snowy, you used a lot of serif fonts in your application so maybe we should stick to serif fonts?

I found a really good post somewhere with the fonts used in Clair Obscur’s screen. The main one (for numbers on the monolith and the title) is one specifically designed by the game, but it’s apparently based on one called Art Deco, which I have struggled to find. Since I can't consistently do shared spreadsheets, the things I've done in the past that have worked really well have been

1. Individual WCGs
2. One WCG where we transfer host after a period and continue updating from there! This could look like a shift of 10 or 11 days for each of us to update on our own spreadsheets

You're both wrong!! I'm a twin and I'm left-handed <3 I'm not vegetarian but i would love to be at some point, and at the moment I avoid meat almost entirely at school and we eat free range (if we can) at home ^^
