Summer of Minecraft: Online Camp
Interested in Minecraft and coding?
Connected Camps is partnering with Institute of Play to offer a low-cost four-week online Minecraft camp.
Summer of Minecraft registration opens March 12 and the camp will begin July 6.
Campers ages 9-13 will be taught everything from the basics of building to coding skills in a safe multiplayer environment. Registered participants can login from home and build and share their in-game creations through weekly challenges. The camp also includes livestreams, online discussion with campers and counselors, and collaborative design jam events where participants create community-defined projects. Summer of Minecraft is a unique virtual camp that gives kids the chance to connect with other kids and expert counselors around the world.
Summer of Minecraft challenges, livestreams, and forums are free for anybody to participate in, and parents can run their own local “pop-up camps.” Participants can register to play in the Connected Camps server for a fee, and sign up for advanced coding instruction. The servers will be staffed by trained counselors who are experts in Minecraft, ensuring an online experience that is safe, fun, and productive.
