Is Scratch still getting updated? Is 4.0 planned? I haven't been here for like 2 years so I don't know if anything has changed in that time

There's also a new Face Sensing extension.

And Scratch 4.0 will be expected in 2026 by an ST member and will feature AI.

You can try the new extension in the editor right now! It's called Face Sensing.

The Debug feature should be in the editor next to the see project page button.

The Project thumbnail button is in the project page next to the full screen button on projects you own.

And you can try the new membership at https://www.scratchfoundation.org/membership

And 3.0 blocks!

The Scratch Team is wanting to release 4.0 in 2026. Paddle2See said it will start development this year. It will feature the Creative Learning Assistant.

Yes for the CLA. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1201689466/

I do not know a source for Paddle2See saying this but I know he said something like that.

It was found by someone on this topic dedicated to finding obscure Scratch pages.

I think their rough guideline is 2027, not 2026. And, it's already been in development.

I think we should add something to make sprite making easier like no wrist drawing mistakes

idk how you would improve that; it would be really hard considering hands being naturally shaky, and something like predictive stroke would just be annoying imo, so i think it's fine as it is

a option to make perfectly pixelated
here the reason:
as a pixel artist (well for games to another plataform)
i wanted to make PERFECTLY pixelated
before you say that already already exists a block to that, when i mean perfectly, i mean without transparent unknown blocks
when i press to convert to bitmap, it appears some unknown transparent blocks, so it's not perfectly
sadly i have to use aseprite (trial), take a screenshot and remove the background. so please add that to new scratch

maybe we could add a button next to where it says scratch. it will say to start a scratch competition where the scratch team chooses something we have to make a project about and then there's a deadline to finish it who ever has the best one wins.
