Hi, I was wondering if I could censor the swear word on Scratch… Scratch Team still takes my projects down, right?

Yes they will likely take it down since swearing is against the community guidelines. Even if it's censored, it still implies cursing, which isn't exactly appropriate for the demographic of this site.

Hi, I was wondering if I could censor the swear word on Scratch… Scratch Team still takes my projects down, right?i've had a similar discussion a while back, and i've been rethinking it. so here is the final answer:
no, you can't, even if censored. it still implies swearing, and it will get taken down by the ST. replace it with something silly like “fiddlesticks”.
and probably unrelated, but still: don't put any disclaimers besides flash warnings and stuff. if a project needs a disclaimer or age restriction to stay up, then it'll get taken down. that also includes “censored cursing” disclaimers.

The thing about censoring with bleeps or muting the words is that our brains like to fill in the gaps. For example, if you unnecessarily bleep-censor dialogue in movie clips, your mind can easily fill in the blanks with adult language, even if its the old Veggietales movies.

Remember, you can make up all sorts of funny replacements for cursing- or just use Shakespearean insults.
