Fun fact: Windows 3.1 is the last release to run on a 16-bit processor! I set up PCem, configured it to emulate a 286 machine and installed 3.1. Here's a screenshot of my desktop:


While most Windows 3.1 programs require Enhanced Mode and a 386, I found a handful that still work, including Windle. Arachne, Mario & Luigi, MicroWeb and Mod Master XT are DOS applications; I designed the icons for the latter two myself.
