We already have so many indicators, with one of them being extra ugly and spammed everywhere next to someones username. A members profile is a waterfall of purple. Why do we need another indicator?

Also this should be rejected already but I don't think scratch cares about the reason anymore so…

1. How it'd be implemented? The only way I see is next to New Scratcher / Scratcher / Scratch Team (it can't replace a status, bc how would you differentiate New Scratcher and Scratcher??)
   
2. It'd make more division (for eg. many users would assume it's some kind of new rank)
   
3. Scratch Member already has 3 ways to show they've donated money (badge, cat ears, member block) - why do we need more?
   
4. Let's be honest - some Scratch Members want to make member block as a toggable and you suggest 2nd non-toggable option (you can treat that point as 3.5)

tag, then it will have the (arguable) benefit of appearing in far fewer places.

Perhaps for New Scratchers it could be something like ‘Scratch Member (New)’.

and if someone got the lifetime membership, it will say “Scratch Lifetime Member” (the yearly members will just get “Scratch Member”)

Does that necessarily need to be the case? Aside from the benefit of not needing to re-subscribe, the lifetime membership doesn't offer anything different from the yearly membership, so I'm not sure that it makes sense to make two different ranks for these.

if you see on the foundation site, it has two buttons called become a lifetime member, and become a member (the yearly one)

I am aware of this, but my point is that if the proposed suggestion were to be implemented, then I don't think there needs to be separate ranks for “Scratch Member” and “Scratch Lifetime Member.”

What about Scratch Team members who are also Scratch Members?

Id personally keep it as ‘Scratch Team’ because knowing that someone is an ST member is more important than knowing that they're a member

Offtopic, but why does the ST have membership in the first place? That's basically them paying Scratch to get paid…
