I really want to use touching color for a scratch project i'm making, but it's just so laggy, can somebody tell me why

I really want to use touching color for a scratch project i'm making, but it's just so laggy, can somebody tell me whyyou could try adding a empty sprite as your first sprite, this sometimes slows lag down.
If it doesn't help, I would sugest to try using turbowap:

im doing this because im lazy and i dont want to create another 2 sprites for detail and hazards

Honestly, I hear that touching by color lags in any situation because it has to read 1 specific color out of 100 MILLION different colors, or something.
I would really recommend to use touch by sprite rather than touching by color..
