Yes they are. And you should definently read them. J.R.R. Tolkien(LOTR guy) was actually friends with C.S. Lewis(Narnia guy)Oh, yeah. Aren't Hobbit and LOTR by the same author? Never read them before, just heard of them.Yeah me too!! And I also forgot to mention the Hobbit, but for me that goes with LOTR.I LOVE NARNIA!!!!! That's one series I forgot to mention. Probably Narnia and LOTR would be my top favs.

Warriors is an awesome series! I like others too, but among all, Warriors is probably my fav!
About: A couple different series about different things that Clans of cats do. Battle, hunt, and more!
I think it is a mystery genre, but I'm not sure. It's a lot at once!

My favorite books..... What are yours?
Oh man, I've read so many of the books mentioned here! A few comments:
-Harry Potter is amazing, and the world is so well constructed. My favourite character is Severus Snape, followed closely by Sirius and Lupin. Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite.
-Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is hilarious. I love it so much.
-Warriors is extremely well written, if a little repetitive at times.
-I've read and love the Hobbit, but of the actual trilogy I've only read Fellowship of the Ring (and even then literally the only thing I recall from the book is Tom Bombadil; I seriously need to reread it)
-I also like Percy Jackson, but I have yet to read Mark of Athena and all subsequent books.
As for books that haven't been mentioned yet, here goes:
-The Inheritance Cycle (Eragon): I LOVE this series, and the world is incredibly detailed. It has history, several languages, politics, a magic system that ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE, and amazing characters. Definitely a longer read though.
-The Chronicles of Prydain/Deltora's Quest: Both of these are relatively unknown fantasy series for children, and both are really good.
-The Outsiders: Probably my favourite book of all time. The characters are really unique and they stick with you. I've read it about 30 times at least.
-Lord of the Flies: I've read it more than once, but reading it in English class this year made me appreciate it even more. William Golding is a master of the English language, need I say more?
-The Lorax: Last but not least is my favourite Dr. Seuss book. I actually liked this book so much as a kid that I memorized the entire thing, and I can still recite it. Not only does it have a good message, but the Once-Ler is a fabulous character.
I could go on, but I think I'll stop now.
