Formally Discourage Mini-Modding
The difference between advice and mini-modding is how you say it.
If someone necroposts, I notice people say “Do not necropost.”. That doesn't do anything other than repeat the rules. But if you say “You know this topic has been dead for a while, that's called necroposting”, that is a lot more useful to someone unaware of the rules, or why they are in place.
Mini-modding: Repeating the rules
Good advice: Explaining the rules

And yet, does not a citizen take someone to court? No that's just quoting, although you shouldn't be doing that because that's Paddle's job, not yours.Does a mini-mod also count as someone directly quoting moderators like Paddle2See's messages?

The difference between advice and mini-modding is how you say it.that still sounds abhorrently patronizing though

The difference between advice and mini-modding is how you say it.Hmm.. what about reminding people of rules? In grifftopia, we remind people that there is a daily ad limit, stated in the “What Im Working On” section of his profile. Some people don't know it exists, and some people forget.

That's not a very good analogy in this case. It's a police officer's job to enforce rules and give out punishments, not the community's. A citizen can take another citizen to court because there's such things a lawsuit but they need a lawyer, jury, and judge, which not only costs money, but it's also people of authority. And yet, does not a citizen take someone to court? No that's just quoting, although you shouldn't be doing that because that's Paddle's job, not yours.Does a mini-mod also count as someone directly quoting moderators like Paddle2See's messages?

Last time I checked, it's not illegal to tell the one doing a crime to stop and also call the policeThat's not a very good analogy in this case. They can. But that's still not a valid argument. These teenage mini-mods on this site are not in any position to be a Scratch Team member and aren't old enough to be one. I'm five months from being eligible to apply to be a Scratch Team member (which I might do), you think I want Scratchers younger than me telling me what to do?And cant a citizen, cant they train to become a lawyer? It's not illegal but that's not.. uh.. safe either. You should call the police without alerting the perpetrator that you are calling them, as the same as you should silently report to the Scratch Team instead of putting the other user on blast.Last time I checked, it's not illegal to tell the one doing a crime to stop and also call the policeThat's not a very good analogy in this case. And is age supposed to be a factor of wisdom? Age is a factor of experience, not knowledge or formality. They can. But that's still not a valid argument. Of course, experience is a factor of them both, but it's only one of the many factors in them.
And that is the case for only some, and I must repeat, some scenarios. Jail, or punishment in general, isn't therapy or some other reason-giver. It might teach someone that something in specific isnt allowed.. but it doesnt reason with the inside mind, or counter the direct reason why something was done (I didn't include “or why the broken law was placed” due to Scratch already somewhat explaining that). People have different reasons for actions, and sometimes interaction is the best way to uncover that reason. It's not illegal but that's not.. uh.. safe either. You should call the police without alerting the perpetrator that you are calling them, as the same as you should silently report to the Scratch Team instead of putting the other user on blast.snipLast time I checked, it's not illegal to tell the one doing a crime to stop and also call the police
