why do i have to turn of my cat blocks i hope this will be fixed

Yeah, turned of cat blocks and it all works now. I wonder what happened to SA.

I don't have cat blocks on and it won't work, it shows no blocks except the go to random position block and it's grey. I go to sound or costumes and when I go to code it says I need to reload

oh well is it going to be fixed soon or we gotta wait some time? cannot do without cats

It was the result of changes that Scratch made. There should be an update to fix it now though, but it hasn't released for Chrome yet.

Turning off cat blocks seems to have fixed it. Makes sense why it would happen, it changes blocks. Due to most likely update incompatibility, It may have messed up the signals transmitted, and therefore only make block text appear in one very specific corner of the editor. Thank @medians (a scratch account) for giving the original information on how to fix this.

Yeah I suspected that might be what was happening because there was a cat block membership PR pretty recently. Right when I turned on cat blocks, this started happening..
Anyway, there's an extension update that fixes it. However, it's not available on Chrome still.

It was fixed in the newest update though. It just has not been released on Chrome yet.

No, basically there is an extension that brings cat blocks back (cat blocks were an April Fools feature on Scratch that is apparently now member locked). It broke due to the membership changes Scratch made I believe
This sticky is here so people know how to actually fix the bug and that it is not a vanilla scratch bug

Thanks alot!!! I was scared my WIP game would be forced into cancelation due to this bug. I thought it was scratch updating and not supporting old computers anymore (for context, I use a windows 7. My mother refuses to get me a new one for some reason)

Windows 7 is da second best Windows OS so maybe that :D
Anyway, no Scratch is supposed to support major browsers released in the last 3 years, which includes Chromium 109 and Firefox 115.

It says I don't have a WEBGL I “need”.

the one time scratch shouldn't have changed something -_-
