'Stand with', as in defend, or ‘stand’, as in cope with/bear?
I'd say both.
Maybe ‘was it Arch?’
Do you mean Arch as in Arch Linux?
Yes. You have to install the installer.

Linux isn't for everyone, so I would defend them. Not everybody is technical enough to deal with the responsibilities of a Linux user.

So, the ‘minimal’ dwl needs like 48 dependencies from yay on Arch Linux
I did not need nearly that many to build it myself on Debian

What do y'all think of the Linux smartphone coming out? Would you consider getting a true Linux smartphone?

I installed Ubuntu to try it out and it seems pretty good.
I mostly did it so I could try out things that only work/work better on linux (such as building scratch-www)

From a purely technical standpoint, yes android is built off the Linux kernel but Google as added so much stuff to it that it no longer follows the FOSS ideology and is now proprietary. It's the same thing as saying that chromeos is Linux because it uses the Linux kernel or even that macos is Linux because it's Unix like. The Linux smartphone is ment to follow FOSS and be truly open source.
