What even is the list of banned fandoms?

sprunki, squid game are some examples

Sprunki, Hazbin Hotel, Squid Game, and Countryballs are the ones I think are banned.

The first three are reasonable, but I think that Countryballs shouldnt get banned.
(Somebody on a HH srudio on scratch said I'm a bad person because I said it desserved to be banned since it's an 18+ show, and also got mad at my OC for wearing a Laestadian restriction badge

Countryballs is banned due to some offensive stereotypes with the countries, I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, but I feel like banning everything countryballs is kinda unfair

I don't think there's a definitive list of media franchises/fandoms that ara banned, especially since new ones come and go all the time. There's certain franchises that aren't necessarily banned, but making projects of them would be against the community guidelines.
Sometimes there are franchises, like countryballs, where it is possible to make appropriate projects based on them, but there is still a blanket ban. This is because it's really easy to fall down rabbit holes when searching the subject up and also because it's very hard to be 100% non-stereotypical when making characters that represent entire countries.
FNaF-inspired projects are only allowed if they don't contain jumpscares (disturbing images paired with loud noises) and also they don't delve too deep into the violent lore behind the series.
There's other franchises where projects based on them won't get automatically taken down but they're still blacklisted in search to prevent inappropriate ones showing up.
Generally if you're considering making a project based on a franchise that hasn't been explicitly mentioned by the Scratch Team, I'd suggest reading the community guidelines and seeing if anything from the franchise would go against them, and if you're still unsure use contact us to ask.

As far as I know, Squid Game, FNaF, Hazbin Hotel, and (while the fandom is not banned itself) Geometry Dash due to a copyright claim. GD projects seem to be blocked from the search bar.

Seemingly, Sprunki is, according to the other replies, but I myself have not heard this.
Note: After checking, it is indeed blocked from the search bar.

Sprunki, Changed, Squid Game, FNAF, Hazbin Hotel, and Countryballs are all banned as far as I know (although FNAF is NFE’d instead of completely banned).

Also please dont search up some of these. Please.

I tink Countryballs is NFE’d, not blanket-banned. It is still blocked from search though.

FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy's) and Sprunki are considered examples of challenged fandoms on the website because they're games nightmare-inducing, disturbing content. FNAF is that game where you explore an abandoned Chuck-E-Cheese's-ish pizzeria, dodging the creepy robot bear called Freddy. Sprunki is what's considered to be an Incredibox-inspired game programmed with Scratch by an 15-year old that wasn't shared on the website because of its creepy imagery that appears if you drag the black top hat on any of the characters, but with a third-party project player, which became a common “crop” for internet content farms to “harvest” a short time after its release. Sprunki has been often called a “mod” of Incredibox, but it doesn't use any of the game's original code, I believe.

I don't think Sprunki is actually a mod of Incredibox.

Sprunki is about these friendly-looking characters where you drag colorful hats on them to make music, with a creepy mode hidden in the game.

sprunki is banned because its too gory, not the content farms (although they prolly didnt help lol)

yeah, there is a lot of slop regarding sprunki as well.

Here's some CERTAIN blanket banned stuff, the Scratch Team has made an official statement that yes, this is banned:

Changed(DO NOT SEARCH, YOU WILL HATE IT)

Stuff I'm not too sure is blanket banned(for I haven't seen an official response, but I feel it already is, or might be in the future:

Doki Doki Literature Club
Countryballs
South Park(ST confirmed they're discussing what to do with said franchise)
Family Guy(Ditto)

I'm unsure if FNAF is blanket banned, but the Scratch Team previously stated Scratch Friendly projects are okay. I'm unsure if they changed their minds.
