New raytracing purpose!!?
I've seen a lot of games using raytracing for 3D engines and such, but something that I HAVENT seen b4 is using it for pathfinding. I was interested and so here's my autonomous car simulator: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1253770728/
It is much smoother than the vast majority of similar projects (they use another system that is very jumpy and uses these little dots as detection)
It pathfinds surprisingly well, the only drawback would be that it takes up half of the clones you might want to use in a project (you can decrease the number, but it will make the car less accurate.
