This is supposed to be (was) a fanmade scratch 4.0 in which we create our own website, along with our code, designs, etc that has nothing to do with the Scratch team's answers to suggestions. The reason they don't add any of our suggestions is likely due to the site being for kids learning how to code, but a lot of us aren't kids learning how to code, we are advanced coders that like to be part of a (fairly large) community of coders alike. Fanmade Scratch 4.0 is not what we interpret 4.0 to look like, it's basically a more advanced scratch with more easy to use features.

True, this IS fanmade, the scratch team doesn't have to control the website.

First suggestion:
while <> :: events hat
It starts when the block inside it reports true, and stops when it turns false. To make this not endless, Make it stop when the stop sign is clicked.
I will post again if I have more blocks.

@El_snak is this supposed to sense if the cloud variable servers are currently up? Please infer.

@763869 good idea itll save much time.

but in all honesty and for everybody's sanity, we should start making this if we want to actually do it because we won't wait 6 years and come back to this randomly yk ALSO guys I think thats enough block suggestions…

“less cloud var limits and glitches” some glitches are due to heavy user traffic (which if we publish our scratch we won't hopefully need to worry about.) and also scratch is a nonprofit in which doesn't have the money to have a super stable cloud variables server, which would be very expensive. I don't think anyone would pay for our “Fan-Made Scratch 4.0” stable server fees, so we might need to suck it up and maybe keep limitations like 0.1 second intervals between cloud variables changes.

I could also help design the GUI if you want me to. If so, then I can draw a few prototype screens and icons.

Barely any computers have an fm/am tuner, plus you could just buy one of those for really cheap negating the usage in scratch. Plus why would you need this? You never know what the result will be because radio is always on air and always changes, unless you just want music to be playing which if that's the case there's easier ways of doing that.

You guys are trying to turn Scratch into a whole new language! Scratch is made to help young kids learn to code. This is just taking languages like Python and JavaScript, and turning them into Scratch blocks.

I guess that's a good point if im thinking correctly of what youre saying. Also, besides the point, they didn't use python I think except for maybe making the cloud variables accessible.

This is supposed to be fanmade, we're not trying to persuade the Scratch team into adding these.
