Don't you hate it when someone hacks your projects?
To make it clear: Remixing will NEVER be removed. This has been said several times before, and I'll say it again. You don't say?

No. For the following reasons:
1. Don't worry. They're just really scared to lose, are lazy and are going to miss a good “I beat it!” feeling.
2. DISALLOWING REMIXES WILL NEVER BE IMPLEMENTED.
3. Remixing is what the website is about.
4. It wouldn't be fun if you had a great idea to add to the project, and remixing was disabled for that project.

Don't you hate it when someone hacks your projects?
Hey guys
I have an idea.
i also think remixing is great…
But i also see the point of the topic-owner.
So how is this:
Wehn you notice a Scratcher makes a copy of your project,
You, and only you, can go to the remix-tree, and attacht a little warning/spoiler-Sign to the remix.
Then, when a person want to look at the remix, a message shows up:
“This project has been declared as a spoiler/exact copy of the original.”
and that is all. Nothing's actually going to prevent the user from playing/viewing the remix.

I have an idea.

There's a drawback for everything. The best thing to do is QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT REMIXING.

QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT REMIXING.I do not complain

I thought i had a nice idea and why not post it.
What if you may report the original project for saying an innocent remix was flagged as a spoiler/copy?ok i clearly see your point.
So i woudn't call it “flag”, instead i would use “sing” or “mark”
It just the information that the author of the original thinks
that this remix is inappropriate.
what if it isn't a copy, the person just hates the remix?Remember only you as the author can mark “remixes” of your projects.
And to be serious, in most cases, if someone hates a remix,
it has a reason. Or would you mark a remix only because
you don't like the scratcher or the remix itself?
And as is said:
and that is all. Nothing's actually going to prevent the user from playing/viewing the remix. Its not like: WARNING!!!! THIS IS A SPOILER!! usw…
it may be only a small window in the lower right corner of the screen.

Not you. Other Suggestions people. They drive me bonkers.QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT REMIXING.I do not complain

But a lot of people on Suggestions just hate the remix feature all together? Plus it could be hate towards the remixer from the project maker?what if it isn't a copy, the person just hates the remix?Remember only you as the author can mark “remixes” of your projects.

Don't you hate it when someone hacks your projects? I find it really annoying! I go through all of that trouble to make an awesome project, and then someone just comes along and hacks it to make it super easy, sometimes even sharing the hacked project for everyone to use! Don't get me wrong, I'm tempted every day to do that! But still, the ability to hack a game takes all of the fun out. It's up to the player whether they want it super hard or super easy. It's not like one is actually overwriting your project, they're just remixing it. Why should you even care if someone “hacks” your project when it's up to the player how easy they want it? Plus, it's a good learning experience for them to play around with the code. Anyways, wether you like it or not, the remix feature will stay.

Well, thank you for insulting me and other scratchers.Hmm, good points guys. I just don't like it when someone remixes my project, and re-shares to make it super easy and unlocks all of the extras. But you have valid points, and I respect that.Cheating is their own problem. Those are just little kids who enjoy the end screen more than the sense of accomplishment of getting there.
Don't worry about them. They should learn what a waste of time playing a game then cheating is. Hopefully sometime soon.

*ahem*
why is this still active and open?
I'm gonna report this topic, as it's already been rejected.

3. Disabling “See inside” (formerly locking downloads)
Several people want to be able to lock their projects so that they are read-only, and other people can't see the code to copy their scripts, sounds, or artwork. However, the motto of Scratch is “Imagine - Program - Share”. By putting a project on the site, you give anyone who sees it the right to see your code, all data in it, and potentially copy it. Part of the whole goal of Scratch is remixing. If you do not wish to allow this, then you are welcome to publish the project on your own site (once the downloadable Scratch 2.0 comes out).
I'm gonna report this topic, as it's already been rejected.
