The Official List of Rejected Suggestions

As I mentioned some time ago, I just changed 8.7 to just “Money blocks.” Nothing about the description was changed. I also changed the description of 8.8 to reference achievement-based digital currency. Hopefully this is a reasonable change that encompasses all of what is considered rejected, while also decreasing confusion as this suggestion relates to Scratch Memberships.

Admittedly, though, it's been 3 weeks (!!!) since I first brought this up. So I haven't been thinking about this for a while. And I am currently trying to hunt a shiny Fennekin in Pokémon Legends: Z-A as I wrote this. So please let me know if you have any thoughts about what I changed here.

Probably because it's not official

I'm not aware of this being rejected.

I just noticed that 7.13 mentions the “Projects Curated by”, “What the Community is Remixing”, and “What the Community is Loving” rows, despite the fact that all three are currently discontinued. I don't have any ideas related to how to word it better, but I just wanted to point it out, in case you think it's an issue worth considering.
I swear I already responded to a similar post, but now I can't find it. I think I would have said that this isn't a huge issue, at least not for now. Maybe I'll wait and see what the Scratch Team comes up with.

There are some rejections that aren't on the list now.
“Remove the 50 MB project size limit” is partially implemented; 3.0 replaced the general size limit with limits on project.JSON and individual asset sizes
“Remove character limits on comments” was expanded to “Remove character limits on text fields”
“Notifications for viewing projects” was expanded to “Ability to see who viewed a project”
“Remove “add everything” or “invite everyone” studios” recently was changed to “Remove “add everything” studios” as “invite everyone” studios actually can be harmful
“Remove the location feature” was probably not common enough to warrant being on the list
“Remove the Suggestions forum” topics were generally made in bad faith, thus TOLoRS was not useful for reducing them
“Moderate mini-mods” was removed as there is not a uniform definition of “mini-mod”
“Remove restrictions on Five Nights at Freddy's projects” was removed since FNAF doesn't have many more restrictions than other horror franchises, and declined in popularity such that this entry became less relevant.
“Ban voice acting” wasn't suggested enough to warrant being on the list
“Remove the phone number censor” is implemented since it had potential to grief links to projects with ids > 999999999
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I fully support raising the skill ceiling of Scratch. The common disagreement to suggestions that raise the skill ceiling of Scratch mostly boil down to “New Scratchers will be confused by this.” which is a flawed point, furthermore, tutorials, guides, and experimenting exists. If Scratchers never tried to understand the confusing thing, they would never get better, and be stuck at stage 0. And another thing: Adding more complex blocks allows for more complex projects that push the boundaries of what you can create.
Assuming this is your quote: note that building complex projects is not the purpose of Scratch. Per the Scratch Design Goals, Scratch should have a high ceiling (which it does), meaning that it should be possible to create complex project (which it is), but not necessarily that it must be easy to make such projects.

No, @mtaka4 is correct. Please just use the Report button on any ads or spam that appear in this thread. Responding to such posts just creates even more clutter to sort through.

They've stated before that there will be members-only events. It really sucks

What restrictions? Is it restricting how scary a FNAF game can be and Does it only apply to Fnaf projects or all projects? Or is it a copyright thing? I think I'm missing some context.

The Scratch Team was receiving angry messages of nightmares from FNaF projects, so they blanket banned it. Back then FNaF was the big thing, so it was used commonly for horror being allowed, but now it's stuff like SPRUNKI and Poppy Playtime.

That's not the problem here, the problem is they broke the official contest rejected suggestion (And it has a prize of being featured in the card)

They added pay to win to scratch. SCRATCH! What happened to all of the “non-profit” stuff they told us about? At this point I would brace myself for when they add scratch-bux.

All of this stuff is optional, but we need clarification from Za-Chary about this. This doesn't make sense.

I will say that they are currently considering ideas about features/suggestions that are here in TOLORS. Many of these rejections were made many years ago, and it's possible that they are being reconsidered based on Scratch's current goals. It seems like they did this for contests, as an incentive for existing members as well as to potentially attract new members.

Well, more like it's using Scratch. I'm fairly sure it's just a perk on the Scratch Membership that uses the Scratch editor. (which, by the way, they are still non-profit. The membership is a donation tier)

This is false. FNaF was never blanket banned, although it was restricted more than other horror franchises (automatic NFE and blocked as a search term). Please read the announcement on it. Sprunki, on the other hand, is franchise banned.
