Incredibly inaccurate, that book makes me incredibly angry. “Oh Percy Jackson is the son of Poseidon!” No he isn't! He is a child of Zeus! His name isn't even Percy, it's Perseus! These kids haven't even read any mythology other than that book!

Oh cause I would like to add on that Percy isn't meant to be Perseus, he was in-universe named after Perseus
Percy Jackson takes place in modern day as well it just has the Greek gods and other creatures from Greek mythology :>
