Sprites and how they react to the sides of the screen (for sidescrollers)
I notice that when you have a row of objects, or tiles, moving past: upon collision with the edge they will just freeze.
I remember this site used to be sprawling with side-scrollers. Good ones, at that.
Now I see why side scrollers don't really exist anymore. Sprites cannot leave the screen. Ever. Levels now exist in stages. >.<
I think it's a good idea to remove this feature. If it's not going to happen, why? I think it's beneficial and the ‘if on edge, bounce’ block kind of has you covered in that circumstance.
It's a huge problem because parts of a sprite on the map will just reside on the side of my screen and then when I move backward multiple sprites have been squashed up into a little ball (my side scrolling thing works with tiles moving at the same speed, and because you restrict off-screen movement it's putting them into one place).
Thanks for reading in advance ^.^
