Here's a few of my favorite Steam games:
- The Orange Box bundle (contains three of the greatest games of all time, and it frequently goes on sale for like four dollars or less)
- Portal 2 (absolute essential for any steam library, pairs well with the orange box, and also goes on sale for super cheap)
- Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ (weird recommendation but it's basically pac-man but modernized, it's super fun)
- Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition (a quarter of the cost of the garbage remake that just came out but with almost exactly the same content. get this while you can, knowing EA they're going to remove this to force people to buy the new one sooner rather than later)
- the Tomorrow Corporation games (feel free to not buy Human Resource Machine and 7 Billion Humans if you don't like programming, the other games are good tho)

Well obviously Portal (and 2!), but what about Desk Job? I've watched a playthrough of it before. Wow, I've been writing this for about 10 minutes as I go over to Wikipedia in order to find stuff (and subsequently fall in to a rabbit hole), the orange box is freaking perfect! Wow, 5 bucks for pvz is nice, but I have it on my DS Lite, so unless there are any differences I might not get it, unless there's online play. The pac-man game looks fine, but I might get that later, since I will probably only play it when I'm really bored ( now I miss pac-man 99). Never heard of The Tomorrow corporation games, but they look fine. VVVVVV looks fun, I think I've played some games based off it too. I played slime rancher when I was young, it was fun but I never really understood it. Oh boy, I wonder what Undertale is??? I've seen and heard of it before, but never played it I've heard of pizza tower, it looks fun. Anyway thanks for all the games!

I forgot to mention Desk Job! It’s completely free, and it’s specifically made as a tutorial for the Steam Deck, so I’d argue it’s worth a try.
