Write a code like this:

when (join [?] []) key pressed::makeymakey
play sound [Meow v]

Then press “?” (Shift + *)
Hold it for a short while and then let the keys go.
The code will keep running by itself until you press “?” again.
This works with any symbol acquired with Shift.

This is not solely an issue with makey makey, it also happens with

<key [] pressed?>
