I'm having this odd bug happen to me too, it's really strange since it came around out of nowhere and now it's just another common problem to be cautious about. It seems to happen at almost random, making it really hard to pinpoint why it just happens.

It was only happening to me the first time I drag a specific part of a costume from my testing

Edit: actually it seems to happen the first time I drag a specific part after either opening the costume editor again or when I already dragged another part for me

It might be some unrelated change that happened during the update that caused it though

If I start dragging a shape that isn't selected, the shape moves but the selection around it doesn't move until I release the mouse.

It must have been after September 4.
I don't know exactly because I haven't really used the costume editor last month (well I've used it once on October 5 and I don't remember the bug happening to me, but it's possible that I just didn't do anything that triggers the bug or that I forgot it since then)

Bringing this post up by the way (this might allow us to figure out what the cause could be)
Anyway, people have said that it's been happening since the update that added face sensing too

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with some glitches on my “Kirby - Return to light” game. Every time I enter the sky and hold an arrow key, it switches between modes. Like, rapidly. I did the code perfectly, and it sometimes works fine, but i'm not sure how to fix it no matter what I try.
