I realized that my Wii U was modded after years and years of having it. It's region unlocked, I probably should have figured though, cuz I've been playing “Sonic Colours” and “マリオカート8”

Considering Nintendo Land was heavily focused on the technological capabilities of the Wii U, it would make sense for its sequel to do the same with the Switch 2. They could've done it with the Welcome Tour or something…

But I guess this is the Wii U topic, so I'll just keep talking about how great the original is.

the homebrew channel is only a vwii thing and the vwii is seperate from the wii u os
if the wii u os has ANY sign of homebrew (aroma or tiramisu) then you good
if not then head to wiiu.hacks.guide with a trusty sd card
