just got an all-time medal (top 1000 makers) and nintendo deleted all my likes for ‘repeated violations’ (which is super vauge imo).
this game stinks sometimes

What do you guys think of the possibility of a 3D Mario Maker? Do you think it would work? Or even be fun?

I think it would be cool, but there may be issues pertaining to how to implement the 3D cursor. I would definitely be interested in using an editor like that though, especially for Mario 64's engine.

EDIT: Perhaps the behavior of the joystick would change when ZL is pressed? As in:

ZL not pressed: Left-right is on the axis most parallel to camera x, up-down is on the axis most perpendicular to camera x.
(Ex. If camera is facing towards Z+, up is Z+, down is Z-, left is X- and right is X+. If camera is facing towards X-, up is X-, down is X+, left is Z- and right is Z+)

ZL pressed: Left-right is on the axis most parallel to camera x, up-down is on the y-axis

i honestly don't want a 3d mario maker.
i can't really explain why but the idea really bugs me.

Deep down, I think you're right. But I'm a really idealistic person.
In fact, I only mentioned it because I think it would make multiplayer more fun. 2D probably makes for a better single-player experience though.
