How do you run custom extensions in scratch?

You can't run them in Scratch directly, as Scratch doesn't provide this functionality. You can fork and build scratch-gui and scratch-vm (or just scratch-editor now, since they've been moving toward making everything in one repo), add your extensions there, and run it, or you could use a Scratch mod such as TurboWarp to load the custom extension file into the editor directly.

You do need to know javascript to make them, turbowarp has some documentation here: https://docs.turbowarp.org/development/extensions/introduction

Actually, you can run custom extensions on scratch (like my JavaScript utilities extension) but you have to use special code to make it work.
