Removing an extension from a project

Sometimes someone adds an extension to a project but then changes their mind about using it. There's no way to remove an extension from a project, so even though it's not being used, it stays on the block select thing.

You should be able to remove extensions from a project, so that they don't bother you if you decide you don't want to use them after all.

You can do this by removing all blocks which use that extension from the scripting area, and then refreshing the page.

That does not work for me.

Worked on my tablet. I had TTS blocks in a project, took them out, and the next time I opened it the category for that extension was gone.

The dupe bump.
There are simple workarounds for this suggestion: remove all blocks related to the extension and refresh the page. even if the extension did not disappear it doesnt do anything vital with the project because there are no script running it. You can still see teh extension outside the project tho.

This about opinion and preferences.

If you don't use an extension and refresh the page, it will automatically delete itself. I had some trouble with this in the past.

That guy might not remember, as that was said in 2020 (I feel old saying and typing that)
Also, there's a bug where showing the stage monitors at all causes that apparently

While there are simple workarounds for this, I don't think that a lot of people necessarily know about them (a “delete extension” button is a lot more obvious than removing all of the blocks from an extension, saving the project, and reloading).

Additionally, what if you just want to delete all of the blocks from an extension all at once? In a larger project, with thousands of blocks, that could take a while to hunt them all down, and people might just give up after a while.
