Is it actually “The scratch team has removed…”?

So on a message from the Scratch Team that says they removed a project, was it actually them or was it just auto-moderation?
when green flag clicked
ask [Is it really?] and wait

Most of the time human moderators look over the projects after a few reports to remove it, but in some cases the auto moderation system will remove a mass-reported project to be reviewed. In that case, the Scratch Team will look over the project and put it back up if nothing is truly wrong. Otherwise, human moderators review most reported projects.

please correct me if I'm wrong

the auto moderation takes it down if it receives a certain number of reports and then not for long

You'd have long received a follow-up alert over it being reviewed if it was automatic. From memory, alerts stating a project got put under review - and any automatic alert for that matter - state they're automatic.

Instead of making a big deal out of it publically and getting nowhere, please just talk it out with https://scratch.mit.edu/contact-us/ even if it's slow. You can list the titles all you want but we're not the ones who can look, nor have a say. Regardless you should be asking if they could review it as it's possibly just swimming in a que.

That said, I'm being hypocritical for responding here, but please don't derail a random topic asking a genuine question with “oh this happened to me so your answer is wrong”.

By that logic, if i accidentally left an egg shell crack in the palacsinta pasta and felt it when i bit it, and i should be publically complaining?

EDIT: being more clear

As far as I'm aware, if it's an automated takedown the alert will explicitly say so. Otherwise it's a human moderator.

Is there any way to challenge a project removal alert? One of my project remixes got deleted for being off topic but it had things from the OG project included, is that a valid reason that could let me challenge it?

unless the message specifically said it was automatically removed, your project was reviewed by a human

From the way I remember it, if a project is taken down by the mass report system the message will be something similar to this:
Your project (project link here) has been temporarily unshared because multiple people reported it as inappropriate. The Scratch Team will review the project based on the community guidelines, and either restore the project or confirm the censorship.
with another message later that either puts the project back up or informs that a moderator agreed with the takedown and it wont be going back up.

If this message is what pops up, it was a multireport. otherwise, it was just a normal report a moderator responded to.
