Why does Dance Around sound oddly familiar?
I’m currently making a game called Roblox: Scratch Edition. (Based on the Roblox game platform of course.) I used the Dance Around song for the intro, cut to 7.75 seconds. However, I noticed something.
My brain: “Why does this sound oddly familiar?”
I realised this might’ve been an actual song, but I can’t remember the lyrics. Someone, help me out!

Why does Dance Around sound oddly familiar?
(i know its a necropost but so srry for this!).
, how do you know if your mind is that familiar with it then? because since the other Dance tracks from 2.0 (Magic and this has yet to be confirmed, and thus listing Celebrate, Chill Out, Funky, Head Nod, Snare Beat, and Space.) were made by Connor, I believe it might've been sampled for a different song or maybe a Mandela effect, plus, when did you start misremembering it as a familiarity?
i definitely have a feeling that your theory that might be “an actual song” is a potential helpful lead to find this sample but that could've been strange and weird though.
(#1)wait what

(Ik the user had been offline for almost a year) The dance tracks were constantly sampled so you may have heard a song sampling it

I'm betting it was a mandela effect, considering Connor was a college student, and the dance loops may have been written to be used in scratch.

There’s a thread dedicated to finding where Scratch audios come from. You can check it out here!Actually, we likely know where it comes from. You may have seen in the previous posts mentioning the name “Connor” and thats because in a Scratch Update Video from 2015, the name “Connor” is brought up mentioning that he made some “new loops for scratch” (which those loops were the dance loops) and it was later slightly confirmed the sprite “CM-Dance” from Scratch 2.0 is him, with CM possibly being his initials. Dance around is probably made by him, as although Dance Around & Dance Magic were added a few months after the video that was previously said, it has a similar beat to the other dance tracks, but until we can truly know who “Connor” is, we only know most of the dance loops.
For now, nobody knows where Dance Around comes from.

(#10)I've already seen that forum as linked above before and, again, didn't see any other unrelated songs that sample dance tracks (are there links to the ones?), but i however would still believe that both later tracks added were made by him or not, maybe could been a different artist though (unlikely)
