I think it was rejected? But it looks like it’s been removed if so

why does Scratch have a premium membership?
it does not give you any direct benefits on the website itself (all it gives is discounts and a few special sprite assets with tutorials), so it isn't the rejected suggestion.

it does not give you any direct benefits on the website itself (all it gives is discounts and a few special sprite assets with tutorials), so it isn't the rejected suggestion. Those are still benefits relating to the website though, and I think at one point there was a rejected suggestion for memberships in general.

They are providing small incentives to try and increase donations.
How do you expect Scratch to be funded?

I think we need to give the program some time to run and develop before we think about removing or modifying it.

I mean, sprites can be easily recreated by none membership people, tutorials are all over the internet… and how does a merch discount effect the website besides giving them more money to run the website?

I think the membership is mostly just a rebranded monthly scratch donation. It isn't that bad, ST probably just needs more funding for their servers and other things essential to the platform.it does not give you any direct benefits on the website itself (all it gives is discounts and a few special sprite assets with tutorials), so it isn't the rejected suggestion. Those are still benefits relating to the website though, and I think at one point there was a rejected suggestion for memberships in general.
