about you!
I've had a scratch account before and have roleplayed in a different warrior cat rp before I lost my account due to a ban :< I can draw red when I'm bored, I'm just grounded so I'm currently writing this using my Chromebook. I WILL RP IN 2ND POV! Sorry if you get confused

Character you're applying for
redwoodkit ofc!

CW/codeword
redwoodkit would seek refuge in sunsets..

personality (balanced! +, =, -)

+ (positive): eager and considerate he is quick to action and highly sensitive to others’ needs, often trying to anticipate problems before they are asked. his kindness is expressed through hurried effort.

= (neutral): restless and hyper vigilant he is rarely still. he constantly scans the camp for tasks or signs of distress, making him appear twitchy, easily distracted, and unable to fully relax.

- (negative): clumsy and self-sacrificing his frantic speed to help causes him to trip, drop things, or make mistakes. he cannot accept compliments and always prioritizes others' feelings over his own.

identity

gender (may be in future): impalaboy

future sexuality: demisexual (he needs complete emotional safety and deep trust before any attraction can form).

behavioral traits (researched)

catastrophizing
Inner thoughts immediately jump to the absolute worst social outcome.
“If I mess up this moss, every cat will see I'm useless and leave me.”

hypervigilance/restlessness
use descriptions of small, fast, repetitive movements
your ears were twitching, scanning the den.

excessive reassurance
use frequent questioning, apologies, and self-correction in dialogue.
“I can get it! I mean, I can get the water. Is that okay? Unless someone else should. I'm sorry.”

muscle tension
describe his body language as tight, stiff, or low to the ground
you froze, tail tucked so tightly your flank hurt, waiting to see if your sibling's loud hiss was aimed at him.

difficulty concentrating
he struggles to focus on one thing because his brain is busy ‘risk-assessing’ all the others.
you try to watch the badger tracks but keep glancing back at your mentor, suddenly sure you've misunderstood the directions.

1. coping with catastrophizing
redwood learns to use simple logic to break the fear spiral.

a trusted cat helps red challenge the “what if” thought by forcing him to state a fact.

you trip with a heavy branch (“Now everyone thinks I'm weak!”). mentor: “You fell. Are you hurt?” “no, but…” “the branch is still whole. fact: you fell. not fact: you are useless. try again.” you learn to separate the small event from the large, terrible prediction.

2. coping with restlessness
red channels his frantic energy into calm, repetitive, and useful actions.

you are given a chore that demands focus, providing sensory grounding.

when overwhelmed by a busy camp, you retreat to the medicine den. your task is to sort the erbs into piles. the rhythmic action of separating the herbs forces your brain to slow down and focus on a small, controllable task.

3. coping with conflict avoidance
red slowly learns that disagreement does not lead to rejection.

you experience small disagreements with trusted cats that end without punishment or withdrawal of affection.

you suggest a different route for the patrol. a sibling says, “no, that route is muddy.” you are silent, waiting to be scolded. the sibling then adds, “But thanks for thinking of it!” this small contradiction is a corrective emotional experience, assuring that you may express an opinion and still be loved.

exposure therapy, identity vs performance, and other grounding techs can work!

What is your activity rate?
7-8

Have you had a gens cat before?
no. but I have rped before!

anything extra

metaphor: he is a tiny, skittish blur rushing to catch a falling leaf before it touches the ground, terrified the leaf's landing will make a loud noise and upset the clan.

secret habit: he often seeks out the oldest, most solid walls of the camp, pressing his body against them as if hoping to absorb the clan's strength and permanence.

rp example: the sudden snap of a dry twig outside the den makes you flinch, you were just about to settle the moss on the elder's nest.. you saw that the moss looked thin, and if they catch a cough, you know it will be all your fault. you need to move faster, but not so fast that you knock a sleeping warrior. be quiet. be useful. don't be a nuisance
