here's something I drafted up for the cabin description—thoughts?

ση¢є υρση α тιмє . . .

There was a magical library, there were 3 girls, and a group of campers. The bookshelves were lined with a fine layer of dust, shelves stretching from top to bottom filled with mystical, magical books. The 3 girls, Mabel, Sunny, and Mildred, were all gathered around the fireplace with the campers. In Mildred’s hands, there was a worn leather book.

“Another story?” Mildred asked, a soft smile on her lips. The campers agreed in unison. Mildred hands the book over to Mabel, who places it back on the shelf. Sunny passes another book to Mildred, a collection of the iconic fairy tales. Mildred licks her fingers before turning to a page, opening their mouth to read.

“Once upon a time…”

All of the sudden, the book shook out of her hands, Mildred letting go of the story with a yelp. Campers, now confused at this sudden turn of events, look down to the book. The pages flip by themselves, the letters shake and jumble, moving from side to side and from place to place. All of a sudden, a completely new story is created.

Hesitantly, Mabel walks up the book, picking up the book. Sunny and Mildred walk up behind her, staring down at the old pages.

“T-This is…” Sunny murmurs, flipping another page.

“The stories…they’ve been rewritten…” Mabel looks down in horror, “Who could’ve done this?”

Mildred, grabbing the storybook and looking down on the creased pages, knits her eyebrows. With a sigh, she sits down on a creaky rocking chair. She looks back, at a section of the library you’ve never been to before.

“Well, time to put this library’s magic to use.” Mildred grins, “Nothing else to do but fix these endings ourselves!”

Also, for the WCGs perhaps they could be different locations in the fairy tales?
(ex. The Candy House from Hansel and Gretel, and Castle from Cinderella, etc.)

The storyline looks wonderful! I'm not sure if it fits in the cabin desc though? Perhaps we could put this at the very beginning of our storybook, then we'd have something slightly shorter for the studio desc?

Anyway I'm on mobile rn and can't polish the text, but I'll do that as soon as I get on a computer <3 (your text is amazing Mildred, I just think we could modify some elements to make it flow better <3)

Aside from that I'm totally happy with our wcgs being locations from the fairy tales!! I think since we're planning on having 3 fairytales+ 1 backup it's okay to not include that one <3

if its too long i'll cut it down a bit but I think it'll work out^^

so I think we should figure out cabin currency + wcg stuff and then we can work on the storyline!

for the wcgs I was thinking we could do the following:

Grandma's House (Little Red Riding Hood)
The Candy House (Hansel and Gretel)
The Woods (Snow White)

you guys can pick whichever one you'd like to do! after this we can figure out cabin currency, and then work out storyline-related things!

How about this? I didn't change much, just corrected some grammar and verb tense consistency and such. I really like the fairytale-like aspect of this and I guess that's why the wording's rather simple, so I kept it like that ^^ Hope this version isn't too long bwahaha

ση¢є υρση α тιмє . . .

There was a magical library, 3 girls, and a group of campers. The bookshelves, stretching all the way to the ceiling, were lined with a fine layer of dust and filled with mystical, magical books. The 3 girls, Mabel, Sunny, and Mildred, were all gathered around the fireplace with the campers. In Mildred’s hands, was a worn leather book.

“Another story?” Mildred muttered, a soft smile dancing on her lips as she retrieved a leather-bound book from a shelf and flipped it open. The campers agreed in unison. Softly shutting it, Mildred handed the book over to Mabel, who placed it back. Sunny passed another book to Mildred – a collection of the classic fairytales, adorned in rich emerald green with glimmering golden letters printed on the front. Mildred licked her fingers before flipping it open and turning a page, opening their mouth to read.

“Once upon a time…”

All of a sudden, the book shook out of her hands. Mildred let go of the story with a yelp. Campers, confused at this sudden turn of events, looked down to the book. The pages were flipping by themselves, the letters shaking and jumbling, moving from side to side and from place to place.

It seemed like forever until the book gave a last rattling shake before returning motionless. Hesitantly, Mabel walked up to the book, knelt down, and picked it up. Sunny and Mildred followed close behind, staring down at the old pages.

“T-This is…” Mabel murmured, flipping through another page.

“The stories…they’ve been rewritten…” Sunny looks down in horror, “Who could’ve done this?”

Mildred, grabbing the storybook and looking down on the creased pages, knit her eyebrows. With a heavy sigh, she sat down on a creaky rocking chair. She looked back up and, following the direction of her eyes, the campers find themselves staring at a section of the library they’ve never seen before.

Unsure, the campers look back at Mildred, only to spot a twinkling gleam of excitement in her eyes.

“Well, time to put this library’s magic to use.” Mildred grins, “Nothing else to do but fix these endings ourselves!”

As for the WCGs, I'm fine with any of those <3

alrighty! now I’d say we can think about more storyline related things now?

1. Writing Activities
2. Roleplay Activities
3. Rewrite the Ending
4. Question the Characters

I think we may want to decide which fairy tale character we want to be the ‘mastermind’ behind it all, I was thinking of either the fairy godmothers from Cinderella or the evil witch from Snow White cause they have *sparkles* magic :00

Reminder that these are the fairy tales we’re doing!

- Little Red Riding Hood
- Hansel and Gretel
- Snow White
- Cinderella

Also, I want to get working on pfps so if you guys could pick one of these as the pose for your pfp that would be great!

also, I’d like you to pick one of the fairytales we’re doing (that will decide what the book your pfp was will be!) and also a cabin color! also describe what expression you’d like your pfp to have and also what kind of outfit you’d want! you can give a description of your persona though a reference pic would be preferred :>

oohh!!!! i love the art <3 id like to have cinderella as the book and the color #718d99! as for the pose id like the second one and my oc ref is here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/925381084/ thanks so much mildred im sure their going to come out great

edit: whoops forgot about the expression!! like happy but like not paying attention/interested in the book

as for the person behind it, maybe the fairy godmother? i feel like that would put a cool twist to it because in most cinderella stories shes nice! are you going to have some sort of list of “suspects”? and is the villain going to be a volunteer? (but have the role of the fairy godmother or evil witch)

Yes, I agree with Mabel about Cinderella's fairy godmother being the villain!! That would be so cool :0

Ahhh and the drafts look stunning omg :00 I'd like the third pose, if possible! And I'd also love Hansel and Gretel for the book <3 I don't have a reference for my person I'm really sorry, here's a hopefully detailed enough description. Long straight black hair (preferably in a side braid, if not I'm fine with anything else as well <3), bangs tucked behind ears, fair skin, dark brown eyes, wearing a white shirt. No additional accessories. Thank you so much Mildred!!

Edit ahh forgot the cabin colour – I'd like #758471 please!

This gave me an idea- what if the book on the pfps are the ones of are respective word count groups? Meaning each camper from the three different wcgs would get pfps depending on their wcg as well? If that's what we do then I guess it's be: Mabel - Cinderella; me - Hansel and Gretel; and Mildred perhaps you could do Snow White or Little Red Riding Hood?

oooo I like that! I'll do LIttle Red Riding Hood!

So I think we'll have little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and Cinderella as the 3 fairytales, and Snow White as the backup

These is what I think the WCGS could be:
Mildred's WCG: Grandma's House
Sunny's WCG: The Gingerbread House
Mabel's WCG: The Palace

Also, here is a list of volunteers!
Mouse/-BookDragon-
Cat/CatMeowLove7
Yume/yumetopia
Chocolate/chocolate_camps
Kiara/Strawberry-Lemon
Chuey/ChueyTheCat (travelling in november, no specific dates yet)
Sihan/BwnnyRxbbit
Surf/surfdudewave
Ava/reallybigwords
Skylar/Milkysplash
Encryn/28thDimension

So the volunteers will play the role of a fairytale character, and the fairy godmother from Cinderella will be one of them, and also the mastermind :00 I think we'll obviously want the main characters (Red Riding Hood, Hansel, Gretel, and Cinderella) and then we can figure out who to make the rest of the volunteers!

So campers with have to roleplay with them to influence their decisions, and after they restore the fairy tale they will ask them a bit about what happened when the fairy tales were changed, and any clues we can get that points towards the fairy godmother being the one behind it! I also think that we could leave a few clues behind in the storybook project as well!

Alrighty, sounds awesome! I'll start writing my wcg intro blurb thing. EDIT: What if we quote a passage describing (or mentioning) our WCGs' locations (Gingerbread house, grandma's house, the palace) from the storybook and use it as the intro? (we'd have to write it first bwahaha, I suggest we each write our respective WCGs' fairytales (with the modified ending, of course)?

Also this is a rough sketch of how campers can earn cabin currency?
complete a daily – 5
complete a weekly – 20
reach word count goal – 10
participate in storyline – 5
complete a word war / critique – 5
participate in cabin wars – 5
Also! Do we want to have QOTDs, weekly check-in / goals? If so doing these could be a way to earn currency as well <3

For the roleplays, would we want them to take place in the fairy tales cabin, or should the campers seek out the volunteers (aka storyline characters) in their respective profiles? The first would be easier to keep track of for everyone in my opinion, but the second would make the job easier for volunteers (maybe?) as they wouldn't need to frequently check the fairy tales cabin. Ooh what if we'd have the volunteers each post a comment in the cabin introducing themselves then welcoming the campers to ask them questions / interact with them? This would be at the beginning of the stoyrline activity.

And having clues in the storybook sounds great!!

We initially said we'd have one storyline task / project for the 3 (or 4) fairytales we're doing, is that still what we want to do? (have absolutely nothing against this, just checking <3) If so what are some ideas for the tasks? (unless I'm mistaken, we haven't decided on that apart from the role playing activity)

the wcgs sound good! are we making our own thumbnails based on the main one?

complete a daily – 5
complete a weekly – 20
reach word count goal – 10
participate in storyline – 5
complete a word war / critique – 5
participate in cabin wars – 5

this looks great !! should campers be allowed to purchase things like hints alongside cabin merch??

having clues in the storybook sounds super cool!! <333

Yep, I think we'll put all of the tasks in one project, and I was thinking perhaps we could just put them in the storybook (like, at the end of the rewritten story it lists out the tasks needed for that story)

I think having the volunteers comment in the fairytale's main cabin would be great!

As for the tasks, here's what I think we should have:

1. Writing Activity
I think it'd be something more general to promote activity, like write - words towards a personal writing project, do a daily, do a word war, etc. or we could come up with our own little prompts for them to do for the initial writing activity (similar to like a daily prompt)

2. Roleplay Activity
The campers will roleplay with the volunteers and attempt to convince them to take a certain course of action to prevent whatever happened in the bad ending.

3. Rewrite the Endings
Campers will rewrite the endings themselves based on what course of action they convinced the characters to do (ex. if for little Red Riding Hood the bad ending was that she got eaten, but then they told her to be more careful, they could rewrite the ending as, say, her noticing the wolf earlier and doing something to avoid being eaten)

4. Interrogation
Roleplay again with the volunteers to try to discover who was the mastermind behind all of the rewritten endings.

Since the fairy godmother is the one we want to make behind it all, I think we should think of a.) her motives, and b.) how the campers will stop her once they discover shes the mastermind!

I actually really like the idea of campers being able to use currency to discover hints :00 it could definitely promote activity if we did that!

so I think we should think of what role we want each volunteer to play, and what we should have them do during both of the roleplay activities!

I don't know if Mildred wants to make them as she has all the graphics / ressources so that we have consistency? Otherwise I have access to the canva but sadly I don't have Mildred's skills

The activities sound great! I think we should ask the volunteers who they want to roleplay, and we should ge sure to specify the activity requirements (as our storyline LARGELY relies on their activity)! I think we could ask them three characters they'd like to roleplay then we should sort out the final list?
