true, true. However, i only learned about the remixtree thing 2 months ago . For new scratchers, they may/will be missing out.

why would people argue that the url can already be accessed? it;s not in a button anywhere so is hard to find if you;ve never heard of it. took me years to even hear about it, which wouldn;t have been the case if there had been a button. it's such a useful feature as well

I have full support on this. I joined after 2.0 so I never even KNEW that it exists.

That's no workaround. This only works if you already know the URL. Most don't, so a button is much better, as it brings more attention to it.

I'm sorry, how is this the fault of the remix tree itself? This sounds like more a remix issue as a whole, not specifically the remix tree. Furthermore, it's highly unlikely that people are being led to the inapproprite projects via the remix tree, given how obscure it is (the button has not existed since January 2019, a little more than 6 years ago).

The remix tree is really nostalgic for me, and it could be nice if they linked to it again, but… There are a lot of times where there are projects with hundreds of remixes, and they have really long load times on the remix tree and the remix tree itself would be really laggy.

I think that if the remix tree were to come back to people's attention, it should be above or below the “View All” text link for remixes so that people can use both the remix tree for projects that won't make it lag and the current remix list for people who want to see the remixes of projects with lots of remixes without lag. The “view all” remix list should also be a button around the corner of the remix tree, and a remix tree link could be in the current remix list.

Noooo

It was the only way to check the review status of a project (that I know of)

Now that remixtree has been removed as of Now, this means:

1. This Might be another way of saving money because not a lot of users know this exists

2. They removed it, showed questionable thumbnails instead of the default cat thumbnail

3. This could be Rejected I highly doubt that, or they are going to upgrade it

i think that they removed it because people we're using the bare remix tree ID's to ID snipe, i feel like scratch team can fix this problem by giving back a 403 error when you try accessing the bare remix tree like they did when you try accessing the api messages page.

I believe it is safe to say that this is rejected as of now.
