There is a website that lets you see specific details about a Scratch user and if they are a part of the Scratch team, just by adding the username

I don't know, but when you see this, it kinda gives you the heebie jeebies because it looks like some spy stuff.

pretty much all of these are things you can find out by just going to their profile
also, does this have anything to do with open-source projects?

TBH, IDK

For me it's showing CITY, GENDER, AGE witch you can't see on the profile page.
Tell me if it shows you this.
Anyway try veryrealteacher u can see his profile and his bio says “HOW DID THIS GET ACCEPTED!?!?”

It's just the backend that Scratch uses to display profile pages. Don't worry, it's an api.scratch.mit.edu link

Basically what you've found is, like others have stated, the backend to scratch. It's under api.scratch.mit.edu because the scratch api is how the website gets info about users. It then formats it and displays it.

In reality, (like other people have said) it's really just showing you info which you could see otherwise, with a few exceptions such as user id, and some image links.

To add on to what others are saying, I know you were concerned about showing your age and city… It shows the date you joined Scratch, and the country you chose. (Which is information already available on profiles.) As for gender, it does not show that but I assume you thought that because somebody put it on their about me and you thought that it did.

(But yeah, it is just the backend of Scratch)
