I was wondering if Scratch is able to connect to robots and make them do certain tasks?

ah yes, my class also uses vex bots. you will have to download the official vex ide. my school uses vex iq so i would get the iq ide

Not Vex. but CodeSkool can connect to any ESP32 or Raspberry Pico or Arduino even latest R4, Micro:Bit any many other controller boards and dozens of sensors.
