Changing Variable Colors
no support, could be used to troll ecliptic peoples.Scratch would probably have a system against the color changing that fast.
Edit: and the value monitor is small, so not enough to trigger epilepsy.

The same logic would apply for the change color by block. You could just make a big sprite and repeatedly change its color.
(There is always the report button)

ST probably says it's confusing to new Scratchers. But I support fully, and say that how it should work is in Editor mode, variable displays should have a thick orange in-line (like an outline, but inside the outline) to indicate that it is a variable. The variable reporters should have a line that shows the variable color behind the text or maybe a tiny circle next to it..Maybe make it so new scratchers can't use it, like cloud variables?
I already suggested this, by the way.Hope it gets used.
Oh, yeah, and variable display color should be variable orange by default.
What it would look like…
Also full support, I also want this. It would make score counters easier for people
Also, you could also add it for lists (set list color to )

If it was restricted to scratchers that wouldn’t be cool. And plus idk if you can trigger photosensitive epilepsy with that little of a monitor.

//(This sprite has 1 costume that is just a black box, the size of the screen)
when green flag clicked
forever
set [ghost v] effect to (pick random (0) to (100)
end
Which can be done right now, with the existing features in Scratch.

And yes, while this can be done. Who in their right minds would want to trigger epilepsy. If it was restricted to scratchers that wouldn’t be cool. I'll throw my support behind the request for the ability to select variable colors. This is confusing for New Scratchers. Because you can simply create another background with a different color.
Here's my suggestion:set background of [MyVar v] to [#0088ff]::variables
set text of [MyVar v] to [#ff8800]::variables
Please?
EDIT:
If you are not going to let us choose the background colors for the various reports, at least use the same color of orange for the variable reporters and the list reporters.
Thanks.

Yeah.as a young scratcher i can confirm that it is not confusing
It's certainly not confusing to younger Scratchers, and I would be very happy to have this idea.
