I am sick and tired of this, but Scratch constantly logs me out for no reason at all. It's not even funny. Recently, it has gotten so bad that I often can't even go from page to page without being logged out.
This happens to me often too, and usually on the front page

By the way, can anyone check if they are being logged out if they can't save projects (that's what happened to me once now). However, I also had an issue twice where it didn't save until I clicked try again.

For me, it's never happened a single time…
Looks very inconsistent.
My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.15.7, Chrome 140.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
Edit: my macOS version is showing up as 10.15 when it's actually MacOS 26, just to clarify.

It only happens to certain people, and I've got it in previous years too on a lot of devices, OSes, and browsers, not just this year.
I've tried on multiple accounts as well, and I've experienced the following:
1. Logged out on accounts I haven't used in a while
2. Logged out on accounts I only have signed in on one profile/browser
3. Logged out on both Scratch 2.0 and 3.0 pages
4. Logged out on browsers that never allowed for browser extensions
5. Logged out, even after password changes

Something I want to state: MacOS reports 10.15.x now on browsers in the user agent, even on later versions, to prevent fingerprinting. This isn't a Scratch-exclusive thing

it's probably because you're using safari. the same problem happened to me on safari, but it ran fine on google chrome.

My internet connection is strong. I never use Scratch on mobile data. I never have Scratch logged in on more than one device at a time. What is happening, and can I fix it?
it's because you are using safari. google chrome makes it run buttery smooth without logging out. hope this helps

I recommend this setup:

Constantly logged out for no reason

Hello!
Scratch has been kicking me out today over and over. I've been using it like normal and suddenly, boom, it logs me out. It's happened like seven times or something. Idk why it's doing this. It's only really been happening today (and i've been on scratch for 8 months and never seen this before). It kicked me out while I was trying to write this message! And for some reason the privacy policy keeps appearing as a banner randomly…and it says effective May 25th 2023 i think? 2 years ago?! Again this has all been happening today so why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop it (it's annoying tbh)? Thanks!

No, it's not because of Safari. This has been happening on other browsers and OSes, and I've got the problem

I started getting this problem before the purple update, which was before the remix bot problem (the problem happens for a while, then stops happening, and later comes back). I've tried multiple accounts, OSes, and browsers. I've tried using only one tab for accounts, changing my password, accounts that I haven't used in a while, and going to 3.0 pages (I wasn't only logged out on 2.0 pages).
