Before I say anything else, I've gotta clarify: you're asking for a chat to be added to collabs which are readable by the ST, right? You're also asking that we be able to see who placed what block, made what sprite, basically a changelog, right?
Yeah, kind of like Google, like Icons at the top, which I think someone mentioned, the person's color is based of of the most plentiful color in their Pfp.
For instance I would be yellow
I think a changelog (stating what changed were made when, and by whom) is a pretty good idea. I don't know how easy that'd be to implement, though.
As for a chat in the collab, I'm pretty sure it's rejected for the same reason regular private messaging is rejected.
Too hard to monitor I presume?
Yup. The Scratch Team doesn't have the time to look into every collab chat that's going on.
I would say we could to bots but we don't want a shay's rebellion

5. The problem with this detail is that people can use the say blocks, comments, etc. to private message each other. If you are referring to the maximum amount of people that can work on the project, then that number should be 3 people.
Yes, I was referring to a maximum of 2 collaborators, not that they can work on the project at the same time. If the maximum number is 3 people, you can still play “owner keep-away” somehow, which would be unfortunate. There'd need to be a way to counteract that.

sorry if someone's suggested this, I don't really have the time to read 44 posts I meant pages
Anyways, my idea to counteract this is… umm… how should I say this?
Never mind, I'll just make a scenario instead:
User1 finishes their part of the project
User1 passes it on
But rather than passing it to a specific collaborator
The project just becomes ‘open’
Meaning that anyone of the collaborators can just take it on (based on a first come first serve system)
This could stop ‘owner keep-away’ as it isn't being passed to a specific collaborator

Maybe also add a notification so that the other collaborators know that the project is ‘open’

You could also attach another suggestion that I saw on here where the owner can force their turn in case someone's just using bots to instantly make it their turn I can't be bothered to find it right now

I also really don't agree with the time thing, when we can have moderated + reportable chat in the left or right.
And a timeframe that shows who made what blocks, a separate one for each sprite, it should have the note thing but it extends to the left, with the color that matches said person's PFP. and they're PFP is in a circle. You have the option to report it too.
It's Private Messaging between them and the Scratch Team .

I don't know about their idea. ( The most plentiful color thing)

But like, if three people who work on it have reddish pfps, wouldn't they all show up as red? I think the changelog should be like, purple for the host, green for first collaborator, pink for second, blue for 3rd, etc, and then cap it at 5 people plus the host so you don't overuse any colors of the rainbow or smthn yk?
