It's already been chosen. The Set Thumbnail button is officially blue, and I think it works well, because everywhere you look is purple. It's like the remix button, but blue.

the website color was chosen to be blue but they changed it to purple anyways

I find it funny that if the button was any other color, people would be fine with it but because its blue everyone is saying ‘its not accessible!!!’…

Classic Scratch Team being Scratch Team.

I like how they just stick to their original color scheming even after the high contrast and accessibility update for the website, Scratch rebranded to purple so it wouldn’t make sense to have blue for everything now.

Although, I propose instead of having this turn to purple, why not yellow or orange?

Orange is the color of the share button, and I think yellow is worse for the purposes of contrast.

The forum is currently not their priority and it's safe to assume that they're not touching it aside from some maintenance work. Also, the dark green color after the accessibility update is way darker than the light blue.

it's still very weird how nearly every single blue thing was changed to purple for contrast, only for it to be inconsistent again…

(and no, the blue on white on the set thumbnail button is not accessible according to the contrast test that was presumably used for the original purple change. it is literally the exact same blue that was used all over the website before)

Not really, as one of the reasons they give is incorrect (white on light blue does not meet the accessibility guidelines)

Not rejected. I'm actually very surprised they gave that answer and I haven't heard anything from the ST members in the accessibility group about things being changed back to blue. You might want to ask them about re-confirming with the accessibility group, especially when blue-on-white is generally known inaccessibly color combination unless it's made to be a dark shade of blue.
