Introduction

Hello, fellow Scratchers. how are you doing today? i hope you're doing great. before we cut to the chase, let's talk about what happened first.

recently, some important people in our dev team (Paper Lantern Studios) have quit. that includes our own boss, since she deleted her account. so someone gave me the idea of remaking that studio…

so that's what i did! but now that we started fresh, we still need more members.

Can I help?

Absolutely! we are currently hiring new members, and we'll accept anyone and everyone with open arms! in order to join, you're required to pick 1-4 roles.
we have the following roles as of now:

• Animators (0/3 people — open): they animate existing sprites and backgrounds, make intros for the games, and make cutscenes.
• Storyboard artists (1/2 people — open): they draw the storyboards for the games. Only needed for concepts of in-game cutscenes.
• UI designers (1/2 people — open): they design the menus and buttons for the games.
• Head of development (1/1 people — closed): they manage the studio, overview development, give feedback about game concept, approve or reject game development suggestions, and do a little bit of everything.
• Secondary head of development (1/1 people — closed): they remain active on the studio, test and give feedback about game concept, overview development, and are in charge of finding and hiring new members.
• Artists (0/5 — open): they are in charge of making sprites, thumbnails and backgrounds, and drawing character designs.
• Playtesters (2/10 — open): they test the games in their early stages, give feedback, and point out glitches in the code.
• Programmers (0/4 — open): they make the code, fix glitches, and put the game together.
• Storytellers (2/5 — open): they piece together the games' stories and write the lore.
• Musicians (1/4 — open): they make the music for our games.
• Voice actors (any number): they record some of the voice lines. In order to join, find an open voice audition and record the voice you think makes more sense for the character.
• Python/Java/C coders (any number): optional, but they can work on different platforms besides Scratch.
• Scriptwriter (0/4 — open): they write content to be used in our games. However, unlike the storytellers, they only write the script and the dialogue.
• Vote/Poll organizer (0/1 — open): they organize votes and polls for whether or not a certain concept should be added to the current game.

Yoo I know HTML CSS and JS (frontend useless stuff) as well as Java, Lua, C, C++, Python, and have worked with different types of servers using raw TCP sockets, HTTP requests, and WebSockets. So I can code the stuff that's not in scratch, also this is a 3d engine I made; still a work in progress.

any number means that there is no specified amount of people who can take the role. also you can choose more than one role if you want, just not the closed ones.

• What are your skills? I can make algorithms and engines for the games.
• Why do you want this specific rank? I know I wouldn't be able to handle being a programmer for you guys because I have issues with writing game logic that's not strictly modular, so scriptwriter lets me help code without being at the center.

oh… i should have clarified what the scriptwriter is for lol.
with scriptwriter i meant like a script for what happens in the game (for example: dialogue before encounters, dialogue when interacting with NPCs, stuff like that), not actual code. that'd be programmer. do you still want the role though?
