A built-in alternative to music editing
So, I was thinking to myself while composing a soundtrack to a project ‘ugh, this is so hard’ but then I thought that maybe having a 4th tab next to sound called ‘music’ in the editor. It would show up as a staff where you can place notes and stuff instead having to use the sound blocks which get really annoying
I really hope this gets supported and approved.

I think this might be a bit difficult to implement and not exactly worth the time to do. You could use some music software to create music (Musescore, Noteflight, Audacity, etc.) and import it into Scratch, which would be less time-consuming. Plus, Scratch isn't made specifically for music.
But Scratch does need a better way to create music. How about a “play chord” block? (suggested by me here)

Does anyone use Musescore?
But seriously, soundtrack creation is usually done outside of the programming environment, suh as in programs specifically made for audio creation.
Try LMMS or Musescore.
(But if you use Musescore, try changing the soundfont. If you ever get that far with musescore, tell me on my profile)

Yes.

Anyways, it is still important for Scratch sounds to be better, because sometimes you might want better looping, or random song thing, or fading between random songs for example, or having multiple sounds play on the same sprite.

That might be nice, but a staff editor isn't necessary.Does anyone use Musescore?
Yes.

I think changing playback speed would be nice.
