Hi, I'm having trouble uploading a 500x500, 512KiB, webp image as my profile picture. I got the original png file uploaded, but it's blurry as heck so I was just hoping to get the higher quality of a webp.

I've never had trouble uploading webp images for my profile picture before and I'm not sure if maybe I'm doing something wrong? Every time I try to upload it, Scratch tells me that my image is invalid or corrupted. By the by, it's not corrupted.

I've also tried uploading a gif version of the image instead, but that's also not helping.

I am uploading at least two images for my webp and gif, by the way.

I'm using Pixlr to resize and edit images, and ezgif to turn my downloaded png into a webp

hello, i think this belongs in bugs and glitches (i may be wrong though). but anyways…
i'm afraid you can't upload .webp images as your profile picture, sorry. (that is the reason scratch is telling you it's invalid.)

also, did you contert the .webp file into a .gif or did you find a .gif file identical to said image? if you converted it, then i think converting the image to a .gif file will fix the issue, and scratch will still see it as invalid.

Ah, sorry about the slip-up… ^ ^|l I wasn't sure what to put it in—

When I tested out the GIF, I created an entirely new file from the original JPG for the GIF, so no, I did not convert the WebP into a GIF.
