Remove Flash Detection
(#120)Why would you not need this removed? Flash died 4 years ago, and doesn't even let you use it anymore. No part of Scratch in its current state uses it anymore.
Why do we need this removed? The feature actually works, seeing how it does for example.
When it's not detected:My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 126.0.0.0, No Flash version detectedWhen it is detected:My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 126.0.0.0, Flash version detectedThis example only happens if the flash version is detected, vise versa, that is if you still use flash.
Other than that though, this would break the thing.

It's hard to change the forum code, but it should get removed, maybe in the next forum update.

Yea, I'm not sure how exactly it would break anything.(#120)Why would you not need this removed? Flash died 4 years ago, and doesn't even let you use it anymore. No part of Scratch in its current state uses it anymore.

I agree this should be done, however what if it was replaced with whether your browser supports WebGL or not?
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 128.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
->
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 128.0.0.0, WebGL is supported
or
My browser / operating system: Windows 2000, Internet Explorer 5.5, WebGL is NOT supported

Yeah, that's probably a good idea- although you will never see your second example, because even scratchr2 can't run on IE5.5. I agree this should be done, however what if it was replaced with whether your browser supports WebGL or not?

Although I would also like to bring up the counterpoint that it is very useful for helping debug when people are trying to use the 2.0 offline editor.

Please don't.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 132.0.0.0, No Flash versions detected
Some people actually still have flash on their browser/system, like i have it (But i don't know why it says i don't) and flash can cause bugs to Scratch. It's very handy to keep that in there, thanks.

(#128)So then you should delete it? Why do you even have a flash in your browser? That was supposed to stop working 5 years ago.I've found out that my flash player likes to conflict with HTML.(#126)it can't. scratch does not run on Flash anymore.

Remove Flash Detection
It's useful for playing old games or seeing stuff on old pages. There's a browser extension that gives some flash support, and there are ways to actually install the Flash Player on modern browsers and operating systems. So then you should delete it? Why do you even have a flash in your browser? That was supposed to stop working 5 years ago.

support, since flash is basically gone nowadays. yes, you could still edit it out, but after a while it gets annoying to do the same thing over and over again everytime you need it.

Remove Flash Detection
The problem is that the reason why the forums have the detection in the first place is because Scratch 2.0 used Flash. This made it useful to have in case a specific Flash version caused an issue with a project or Scratch. However, because Scratch 3.0 doesn't use Flash, it doesn't really make sense to have it on Scratch. My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 140.0.0.0, “No Flash versions detected”

Maybe it could be replaced with a WebGL detector if possible, like this:
My browser / operating system: Windows 7, Chrome 139.0.0.0, WebGL supported and working
My browser / operating system: Windows 7, Chrome 139.0.0.0, WebGL supported but not working
My browser / operating system: Windows idk what to put, stuff, WebGL unsupported
Edit: Also, I'm not sure if this works but can you try just turning on Flash only when you actually need it
